Hi Eric! This is what I'm working on now. I did a 3% grade due to limited space. I hope to give the trial run in the next couple days. As usual, you are very helpful- don't know what I'd do without your fantastic videos! Keep up the great work and thank you.
What did you use for the camera going around the track- my son and I like that idea.

@trainbuff10 Oh, that's a really fancy device. It's a canon powershot digital camera strapped onto a flat car. :)

a 2% is usually the norm on most o scale layouts
ogauge47 2 years ago
Yeah, but it all really comes down to how much space you have. If you're tight on space, you often have to bend the rules a little bit. :)

Thanks

What's the best grade for o scale trains

Anything under 4% is usually good.

To Bad I Couldnt Go To Your Open House :P. I Live In Harrris County. It Would Take An Hour
Juggylocko 2 years ago
could i instal a backdrop like the one in your layout to concrete.
GoldenCreekValleyRR 2 years ago
It would be very difficult.
esiegel76 2 years ago
bahh. maybe i can install thin wood then put on the backdrop.
GoldenCreekValleyRR 2 years ago
That's what I would do. In fact, that's what I'm doing in my back room that has a concrete wall.

do i here a steam engine
GoldenCreekValleyRR 2 years ago
The corners seem a little sharp....how do ur 6 axle engines and autoracks run on it?
UnionPacificRules 2 years ago
The curves are all O-72, so large engines and cars have had no issues.
esiegel76 2 years ago
oh okay nevermind then lolz
Looks great!

Nice smooth rise Eric... I wish I had that kind of room. I had to resort to a rather steep helix on my layout. Keep the progress vids coming !!!
puttrainguy 2 years ago
Oh, it's pretty darn steep. Might not look that way on the video, but it is.
esiegel76 2 years ago
Looks like it works great, just don't go off the end.
