I really appreciate this ad!! The clipping or quoye from Diana Ross says she believes that men and women are not meant to live together because they are totally tow different animals. Men just operate differently from women and some women always want to draw on the emotions of men.......I still like that the nimal Kingdom aniamls come together to procreate then go their separate ways, same to an extent for us as supreme animals.

Not everything in black and white makes sense, have you ever like read a legal paper or rules of a game sometimes although it is written form it makes no sense. We as humans need not at times question relationships or say who should love who, its just the way things are there are always going to be difference thats why god made us all, think of a world where everyone is the same...........it wouln't be interesting

What I meant with my comment is, I do think the commercial made sense, and in what way does it relate to beer? Except to show that Guinness is a gay-friendly brand I don't see what the purpose of this commercial is.

I love this commercial. So tongue in cheek! Tammy is such a gay icon, the quote from Diana Ross.... remember, this was done in the late 80's. It aired three times. There was practically rioting in Ireland. Today it's cheeky, it was scandalous and forward thinking then. They should re-air it.

The documentation says it was made in the mid-90s and never aired.

@enzocerusico I was there. It did air because I actually saw it with my then boyfriend, we were living in Moncton, that ended in 89, we watched it together. It aired once in Canada. Then there was news coverage of the ad and it disappeared forever. Actually searched for it once YouTube came out. There's a documentary out there on it. you should seek it out.

@th78746 In gay relationships one person usually does more of the house work than the other. Since the one going to work is older the other one could be in school or have a job also. I had a partner for 19 years and he was a slob. I am not so it was fight about it or do it. I did about every couple of months make him clean house out of principle. I saw it on PBS after it was out for awhile and loved it, It showed that gay couples exist.

The Agency that made the guinness ads made this and guinness were very happy with it....but the british tabliod press (the sun) lead a big story how it was the end of a 'true man's drink' they pulled it, afraid it would do huge damage to (based upon this bigoted paper) the guinness brand.....shame

The great looking blond guy with this expression of "How did I ever end up with this guy?" on his face - too funny. Then, the coffee cup!
