Here is what I do: Opening A. twist each thumb inward (away from you) once, twisting the loops. Twist each pinky inward (toward you) once in the same fashion. Thumbs go underneath both index strings and bring back the near pinky string. Pinkies go over the far index string then under the near index string, bringing back the lower far thumb string (it helps to use your ring finger to get the string). Drop indexes and you should have Polaris!
I was able to do the figure as you described-very slick, thanks! I always like to add new figures to my list. Maybe I will make a youtube video for some easy figures, with instructions.
