I am looking at getting this or even waiting for the 220. Can you comment on how stills perform in low light? Can't seem to find any samples on flickr.
@MrDampkring The SX210is is good in low light under 2 conditions. You can't be lensed up. When you zoom in you end up at a minimum of F5.6. also the subject needs to be still. If you are going to purchase this camera with the intention of shooting indoor action shots without a flash or out of flash range you would be dissapointed.
@hdtvcamera1 Ok thanks for that. Seems I need to rethink this now. I think maybe the S95 or one of the newly announced ones like the elph. Thanks for the reply though.
do you use and Eye-Fi card for this camera? I just got it and also the Eye-Fi, but in the instructions says this camera might not support this card functions.... and also says that one will need aproval to use eye-fi in some regions... ????
I tend to take absurd quantaties of pictures. It's not unusual for me to take 2000 pictures in a session with my SLR. I would fill up a Wi-Fi card too quickly.
The other thing that didn't appeal to me was the the camera needs to download from its own battery. The compact cameras I own don't exactly have very robust batteries. I passed on Wi-Fi and have spent my money on different SD cards. I have about a dozen of them.
hi thanks for posting! i've read that the camera was useless for low light pictures and films but this looks great. would you recommend to buy the sx210?
@Tabsy14 I wrote a review for Amazon.com "An Amazing Compact Camera"
I also posted some Pictures I've taken with it on my Google Picasa Site user name HDTVCAMERA
I really enjoy the camera. I like to take pictures where I zoom in all the way to get a reduced depth of field. I also like that this camera can shoot a very vide shot.
@satidog I really love this camera. It takes great still photos and goes from super wide to super tight. The image stabilization really works well too.

Wow. Bright lens. My old Elf sure couldn't have done that. The cake would have been a glowing blob with a lot of shadows moving around it.
Thanks for posting.

The compression on You Tube very noticable. The video is fluid when viewed with a computer.
