It got cancelled because Viacom’s stock fell, the order was given company-wide to cut the budget. And because Zim was the most expencively produced show with the lowest ratings, the most logical thing to do was to cancel it.

@Sford0dude5 actually it was cancelled for not being able to pay to make the show...money was tight and they needed to cancel the show....if it was too dark then why did we have popular shows like Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy that was as dark if not darker than invader zim
They arn't gonna bring it back, it's too childish to them now. Notice how almost ever show on it is aimed at Teenagers, Example: iCarly, True Jackson VP, Big Time Rush....They suck and kids arn't ever gonna see another good TV show again.
i watch nicktoons all the time! they got the best shows. avatar, invader zim, i grew out of spongebob, but its still good. cartoon network sucks big dinosaur balls. nothing on that channel is good anymore. they need to bring back the cartoons i and other kids grew up with. dexter's lab, the classic scooby doo, i can't even remember all of them. nickelodeon sucks.

@Sford0dude5 actually it was cancelled for not being able to pay to make the show...money was tight and they needed to cancel the show....if it was too dark then why did we have popular shows like Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy that was as dark if not darker than invader zim

They arn't gonna bring it back, it's too childish to them now. Notice how almost ever show on it is aimed at Teenagers, Example: iCarly, True Jackson VP, Big Time Rush....They suck and kids arn't ever gonna see another good TV show again.

i watch nicktoons all the time! they got the best shows. avatar, invader zim, i grew out of spongebob, but its still good. cartoon network sucks big dinosaur balls. nothing on that channel is good anymore. they need to bring back the cartoons i and other kids grew up with. dexter's lab, the classic scooby doo, i can't even remember all of them. nickelodeon sucks.

unfinished episodes
Due to the cancellation of the show mid season, several episodes were not completed and were left at various points in the production process. However, some completed episodes are on Invader Zim: The Complete Invasion. In Summer 2010 the unfinished episodes will be aired on Nickelodeon & Nicktoons

Well......they said they would stop showing IZ after April 1st but then showed a marathon of it april 2nd not only that but the page for IZ is still on the nicktoons website(they even have a poll asking if you want IZ back-which is curently 98% yes and only 2% no so it's posibly they may bring it back(to show th reruns at least)
