The person introducing the Lakers was VERY lackluster in my opinion. Also the fans to a certain degree. In fact, if you didn't hear the team seeding numbers, it'd be hard to tell this is the playoffs, given the atmosphere. The intro is about as lackluster as the 1992 Blazers home intros in the NBA finals. The intro show/music isn't that exciting. And where's the mascot?? And at least get a native LA/West Coast person to give the intros- he sounds like he's from the northern Midwest.
What a beautiful franshise team and the best in the nba history but whatever happened to the fans when everyone in staples center used to where all gold? now everything looks different but as long as we sheering for the lakers it's all good!
yeah but you should also take into account that the entire Lakers dynasty is under speculation of a "conspiracy" thanks to some referees that had to have it their way.. im not saying the Lakers werent good as hell.. but they clearly didnt fairly win their third title..
What about the closing 2 minutes of Game 5 when the Kings knocked the ball out of bounce but it was called on the Lakers. On that same possession, Peja hit a 3pter.
Not to mention the last play of the game when Bobby Jackson was pulling on Kobe's jersey while he took that last shot.
Kings win Game 5 by 1pt thanks to a bad call and a no call.
The Lakers didn't have home-court advantage, a Sacramento-area hotel gave Kobe food poisoning after Game 1 on the road, Shaq shot 1 FREE THROW in Game 5, and the Lake Show still took the series in 7.
Lawrence Tanter, the Lakers P.A. is one of the best. I've met him, and he is a great guy. Andy Jick, the Celtics old P.A., was great, too. Most of the guys now are just screamers/cheerleaders. Sometimes, the current Boston P.A. sounds like Jick, but the Lakers still have the original. LT.

@WindyCityNative1 Lakers don't need all that crap. And it's 240p quality. I'm sure it would sound better in 1080p

it was their 6th because the lakers didn't recognize their championship years in Minneapolis until the 2001-2002 season.

The blazers song is "Love Like This" by Faith Evans and the Lakers is "Spybreak!' by The Propellerheads.
People forget that Portland was down 3-1 in this series.
Perhaps if the Blazers had made just one shot in that fatal stretch, maybe the Shaq/Kobe dynasty never happens.

Who was the #2 seed in the 2000 playoffs?

Utah was #2 but Portland had a better record than the Jazz. It's just that Portland and LA were both Pacific teams back then and Utah was Midwest
