The PS1 was the best and it really had a lot of awesome classics too that'll still never grow old. It's so awesome and I still own PS1 including some great games for it too and most of them all work on my PS2 and PS3 consoles. If Sony ever produces and releases a PS4 sometime in the near future, I hope the PS4 will still include backwards compatibility with games for PS1 just like the PS2 and PS3 consoles did. I hope the PS4 can play all games for PS1, PS2, and PS3. That would be so great.

The PS1 is the best and so far I currently own two PS1 consoles and a total of around 80 games or so for PS1. It's so awesome. I first got my old PS1 console for Christmas back in 2000 when I was only 9 years old and I ended up getting another spare PS1 for Christmas back in 2005. Some of the great games that I have in my PS1 game collection so far are games such as "Metal Gear Solid," "Gran Turismo," "Spyro the Dragon," "CTR: Crash Team Racing," "Ape Escape," and so much more.

The PS1 console and almost all of its great games and accessories are still the best as always. It's too bad that most places now don't sell PS1 games or anything anymore like GameStop or anywhere else. At least PS1 games and accessories can still be found at places such as ebay and Amazon though on the Internet and in my own opinion I think it would be awesome if GameFly supported PS1 games too. After all, most PS1 games are still great to play and they all work on both the PS2 and PS3 systems.

In my opinion, if there are ever anymore new next-gen game systems to be released soon someday in the near future, here is what I think these following systems should have backwards compatibility with:

PS4: Backwards compatible with all or most PS1, PS2, and PS3 games

PSP2: Backwards compatible with all original PSP games

Xbox 720: Backwards compatible with all Xbox and Xbox 360 games

Wii 2: Backwards compatibility with all Wii and Nintendo GameCube games

That would be so awesome. :)

@BanjoAndConkerDDR Well actually, I've never even heard of a GameCube 2. They just had the original Nintendo GameCube. Plus, from what I know I have heard a few rumors already about a Wii 2 coming out sometime which would be the next possible successor to the Wii. That was what I've heard so far as of now. Also, a while after the GameCube has been around they have announced the development for a new Nintendo console which was called the Revolution at first and then it was changed to the Wii.

The PS1 rocks and all of its games are still great to play. I still have my old PS1 console as well with many great games for it and one fortunate fact is is that all or most PS1 games are all backwards compatible on both the PS2 and PS3 consoles as well. I also know that some cool PS1 games can even be downloaded from the PS Store for the PS3 and PSP systems too. If there is ever a PS4 console or something in the future, I hope it'll be able to play PS1 games too including PS2 and PS3 games.

LOL One interesting thing that I've noticed with most PS1 games is that some of these PS1 games are pretty much straightforward if you think about it, some of them don't really take too long to complete, and some of them don't even save your game progress with a memory card depending on what type of game it is too. I still have to say though that the PS1 is such a great gaming console and all of its games were so awesome especially since they work now on both PS2 and PS3 as well. Sony rocks!

Man this system brings back memories and it's such a great video game console too not to mention the fact that it's such a classical gaming system of all time with so many masterpieces. It's so awesome. I already own a PS1 so far with plenty of great games for it now and my most favorite PS1 game so far would probably have to be MGS1. That was such a great game and it's probably one of the best PS1 video games ever of all time released in the year 1998. Long live the PlayStation series! :)

The PS1 rocks! One of my most favorite games that I probably have so far right now for the PS1 is probably MGS1. MGS1 was simply the best and it's one of the greatest MGS games in the series too.
