What fascinates me is the helplessness and danger human being faces above 8000 meter. At that altitude, humans are just as vulnerable to nature nowadays as our forefathers were before the invention of new technology. Its really a game of survival, and many people dies at because of either allttude sickness, falls or being surprised of bad weather.
