  • so awesome....... and only 6.3k people took the time to watch..... still it there lose!

  • @:43 duh....

  • great post, first heard this song in the 70s

  • Anyone have Phil's version of "Baby Blue"? Or, "Love Divine" - a true tribute to "All My Loving"? Both wonderful!

  • Phil fans - just remember that Paul McCartney listened to Phil play at his sister-in-law's wedding and said that Phil is "quite good". That bests them all! : )

  • Only an expert could make a statement like this. So...are you an expert?

  • @mH8675309

Yes... I'm an expert. I'll thank you to show me the respect I so deserve.

  • @stromtrooper32 Shall I bow to my sensi?

  • @mH8675309

Bowing will not be necessary. I would like you to learn the proper spelling. That would be "Sensei". How disrespectful! Are you the drummer in the video? I'm wondering why you're taking an opinion so personally.

  • @stromtrooper32 Aw man I looked it up in my dictionary but I couldnt find it! Oh well you learn something new every day. I'm not the drummer I was just being a wise guy. I have heard different versions of this song and just didnt think this was that bad. I've been to a few Keaggy concerts and even met him once back stage.

  • @mH8675309

Yeah, sorry for the sarcasm, and for sounding so judgemental. I was being a wise guy as well. I've met Phil a few times, seen him about a dozen... such a great guy. So sincere and real. We are all lucky to have him.

  • Yeah, sorry for coming off like a jerk. I was being too critical. I really didn't mean anything by it, seriously. Phil is such a great guy. I've met him a few times, seen him at least a dozen. He is always real and humble, in spite of his amazing talent. I consider myself lucky to have had his music as the soundtrack of my life.

  • This is a terrible version of a great song. The drummer is playing with NO feel, and the sounds from the electronics are just terrible. I believe that they eventually ended up with an old set of Gretsch or Ludwigs on this CD instead.

  • @stromtrooper32 For the Sunday's Child album, Phil Keaggy was able to borrow Ringo Starr's old Ludwig Oyster Pearl drumset he used during the time of the Beatles.

Interesting, you are a humble guy eh?

  • @bpabustan

It was only said tongue-in-cheek. I think it's funny that people get so offended by any comment that isn't positive. For the record, I'm a life-long Keaggy fan (my first concert was at Akron Civic Theater in 1980- Keaggy). I have played drums for 26 years, so I do have some idea what I'm talking about. The cd version is very well done, and I've always loved the production. The feel was just not right on this version, and the electronics clash with the style.

  • This is from the best Vocal Album by Maestro Phil Keaggy, what a wonderful memory!!!!!!!!! Thank you Phil, God Bless You

  • Great song. I am glad, however, that electronic drums have fallen out of favor.

  • this song reminds me quite a bit of the beatles!

  • It was intended to. The Sunday's Child album is long out of print, but the album's cover was a direct parody of "With The Beatles".

Though this is more of a Rubber Soul - era sound really.

And of course, Phil's voice has always had that McCartney-ish quality to it.

  • cool.

also, check out Alice Cooper's new album. It has a track called "Killed By Love" that totally sounds like the beatles. It's a tribute, I think. very surprising, coming from one of the early heavy metal gods!

  • Sunday's Child and Find Me in This Fields are the two albuns that when I put I have to listen to the end, talking about vocal albuns.

    This song is really good!

  • Have to admitt- Sunday's Child was my favorite album with vocals that Phil Keaggy every put out. I also really like his instrumental 220 album

  • I discovered this album totally randomly at Hastings- I didn't know Phil ever did a project like this. Randy Stonehill signed it for me a few years ago, and it remains one of my absolute favorite 80s (and yet, 60s? :) albums.

Check it out!! Phil, keep coming to CDA!

  • Is that a D10 and DX7??

  • Phil had a song called ''sounds'' have you heard it or do you know where to get it?

  • You can get it off the "Getting Closer" Cd.

  • Sounds like the Beatles!

  • this is one of the best songs ever

  • I havent heard this in a while! This is an awesome listen. Thanks!

  • Phil, I remember when this came out, I had just recently married my lovely Wife Teresa. I saw you and Randy Stonehill in concert for the first time, it was so great, thanks for the memories.

    Mark.

  • Sooo 80's lol

  • i hope that's a joke lol

  • what?

  • because it was released in the 80s and therefore couldn't be anything but the 80s lol.

  • Oh of course!

  • it really is typical keaggy isn't it?
