A basic training base is a perfect fishbowl to have this type of human experiment to take place. Basic trainees are confined to base at first, given a slew of arm jabs, plus Fort Dix is close to Fort Deitrick MD. home of the biochemical warfare labs. Fort Hood is heavy into mechanized infantry, tanks, and a bunch of air cav.

Sadly this isn't the first incident of someone snapping. We had several incidences overseas where someone lost it and started shooting up the mess hall. Its like you said, some of the casualties of war go unnoticed or get sidelined.
