  • lmao dave gets owned at 6:00, look at his faceeee he looks so embarrassed

  • bill maher for President!!

  • @meghamillie

After Obama's term limits of course!

  • do you really wanna go down that road Dave? beautiful comeback.

  • what is the name of the song played when he walked out?

  • @enkii82 Gimme Shelter by The Rolling Stones

  • @october4891647 i don't think so, it's Cheryl Lynn - Got To Be Real. Thanks for the reply.

  • @enkii82 Ah, ok. I misunderstood. I thought you meant the song that started playing when he walked out... at the end of the interview. Silly me :)

  • @october4891647 my favourite song!!!!!

  • @enkii82

not "white room"...it's some disco song.

  • @mathforphysics to be real thats the name of the song

  • Swine flu is the governments way to find out how much crap they can feed the citizens before they can feel a shitty taste in they're mouth... What's shocking is that most people digested it and are still unaware of it.

  • I love when Dave has a guest on and he's actually legitimately interested in what he's saying.

  • theyre both the type of men who grow more attractive as they age. :) probably the sheer brilliance or something. (in maher's case anyway)

  • Vaccines are not antibiotics...

  • @HoneyIEducatedTheWeb Maher did not say vaccines are antibiotics. He said vaccines are useful tools, such as antibiotics.

  • @UbermenschWill

    Thanks, you're right.

  • @HoneyIEducatedTheWeb No problem.

  • @andrewm153351 seriously?

  • @Nemesis000000

I thought it had more of an in-depth meaning, but i watched it again.....Still funny though.

  • @andrewm153351 It's an obvious joke, yeah, but appropriate

  • @andrewm153351

    i can explane

  • @andrewm153351

    i can explane

  • Both Maher and Letterman are great comic entertainers. I dont like or agree with everything they do but they are good for sure

  • @thefanofthewho Thanks. I like your screen name. That Indian superbug thing sure fizzled out quick, though. I wonder if Wikileaks will let us know how that worked itself off the radar. Still smells fishy to me.

  • I think Letterman was teasing, but Maher took it a bit personal when Dave said he didnt look well.

  • Maher is hit and miss. The bit on the flu is exactly the kind of pop science he otherwise mocks.

  • lmao david letterman basically just let him talk the entire time & was like "w/e" rofl

  • Gimme Shelter!

  • Speaking of global media pandemic fever, don't forget roll up your sleeve for this new "Indian Superbug". Not the catchiest title, but luckily it's "resistant to all known antibiotics", so we'll get to try all kinds of fun, experimental potions! Or be subject to indefinite quarantine! Whee!

  • @Inediblehulk I like the cut of your jib.

  • Wait at 3:20, why did bill say.''thank god sodomy is legal''. what did that have to do with anything. Please explain cause im stupid lol.

  • @TiCkToCkMaRiO1473 Because we're being (figuratively) fucked up the ass by the "Goldman-Sachs crowd."

  • "Do you really wanna go down that road, Dave?" Wow, he got a little bitchy there, lol.

  • Swine flu is not regular flu ... it was caused by the factory farms pumping antibiotics into pigs until they were useless. the swine flu built up an immunity to the antibiotics and became more robust.

pig farmers have contracted swine flu since pre-history

  • @alSation81

    Which is it?

Factory farms? or Pre-history? So unreflective.

  • Pig farmers in old and new time contracted swine flu because of their constant proximity with pigs.

Now with the irresponsible practices today that same virus is much more virulent (tough enough to overcome daily antibiotics that frankly should be available to the 3rd world). So the virus is more upwardly mobile and can reach a wider audience.

    Sorry if I'm "unreflective" ... I'm not a mirror

  • @alSation81 The correct terminology is Flu type A ( at least in Europe it's now called that)!

And the terminology works like the case of Hepatitis - it increases the virulence and seriousness of the virus as we go along the alphabet.

So Flu type A is the LEAST SERIOUS of all types of flues.

As all people have already concluded, this was probably a scheme from the Pharmaceutical companies into increasing their profits by selling Anti viruses and vaccines for something that is anything but serious

  • One thing I don't like about Bill Maher is how he uses the same jokes every time he does an interview. For instance, I've heard his "civil war reenactors communicating by am radio" line like 5 times.

  • @ChromeTruckNutz I totally agree. Here's another cliched classic from him:

    Interviewer: Are you an atheist?

Bill Maher: No. Because I don't want to "mirror the certitude" that religion gives.

I think you'll be able to hear the quoted phrase in literally ALL of his Religilous movie interviews. Check it out. :)

  • is it me or letterman was a little surprised by mahers reaction around 5:57 - 6:00??

  • -jay1970 - I see your point, but It seems Letterman is giving the LATE night HBO mannered Maher an open invitation to enlighten his audience to that "late night progressive" perspective. Letterman saw Bill was on a role and gave his PEER and fellow entertainer the mic.

  • wrong. he just didn't want interview getting overly political

  • Thanks for the upload.

It's great to see Bill Maher especially in HQ video ^.^

    Thanks!

  • GOT TO BE REAL is the correct song title.

  • the song is called "To Be Real". It's the strip club song form Carlito's Way

  • what`s the name of the song that the band played when Bill came out??

  • The name is of the song is Got To Be Real as in Real time with Bill Maher. I think Bill was smokin up in the GREEN ROOM before he came out to do the interview. :)

  • appreciated

  • He just sounds more partisan because there is nothing positive to say about the Republicans anymore.

  • I used to like Bill Maher, now his expectedly partisan one liners and rent-a-crowd have gotten old fast.

  • Partisan? he's equally sick of the Democrats.

  • I like Bill Maher. :3

Even tho he does re-use his bits. >____^

  • What comedian doesn't in the youtube era?

Its hard not to and not to mention with everyone claiming "they stole my joke/bit" what do you expect out of comedians who get on tv more than the not famous ones.

  • Not really complaining, just observing. ;P

  • Bill Maher is a great stand-up comic. I have read 3 of his books and I am huge fan of Real Time With Bill Maher. I have also talked to him on Larry King Live I think he seemed surprised a 1st time voter was a big fan of him.

  • @RealTime88 wow you met him?

  • @SASJKL He was on LKL two years ago and I talked to him on the phone. I asked him did he think John McCain would be just as bad or worse than George W. Bush. He called me dude.

  • @RealTime88 haha not bad

  • @RealTime88 I'm a fan of Bill Maher as well. That's awesome you got to talk to him!

  • @RealTime88 Were you the one he called "dude"? lol

  • @ScinLaeca358 Yes I am!! I'm Alex from beautiful Cape Coral, Florida.

  • @RealTime88 Wow...I can't believe I remember that...lol. ;)

  • He should clarify that it was about 5 Democratic Senators (Blue Dogs) who sold out to the HMO Cartel and in fact the Democratic party fought viciously for the public option, and true health care reform.

  • I love that! (4:30) "Mental hospital!" (5:05) "civil War re-enactors".
