  • Thank you Brian for the great video's and the awesome you are the best in every thing bro.. I like the sound of the bass is there is any plugin sounds same as the midi moog bass?

Kind regards from Sultanate of Oman

  • @proprotools1234 Hi you could try Arturia Minimoog V2 or Gmedia Minimonsta.

  • Man your awesome! I love the SE-1(my fav synth) also didn't know u can rec. it straight in Logic(I use Reason), & I didn't know your from Chicago!!!!

  • cool

  • BTW, Have you ever used Ivory, EWQL Piano, or Akoustik etc. on a final project? I find they are more than adequate for non-lead material. I was curious if you've found them useful in a major way yet?

  • jazzyat is right on the money! This is exactly what I wanted to see and from the person I wanted to see it from no less!

  • Finally, an up close and personal demo of how a song is DONE! Good Stuff! Not to many videos on here show you THAT and all on one HAND!!

  • Brian I've been a fan of yours since the Long Night Out cd and I must admit for you to show how you compose your music is truly unselfish.

I have one question about your organ sound, how do you get the organ to sound so sweet? What organ program or organ do you use? OK that's 2 questions lol!

  • Thanks! The organ on all of my records is a real Hammond B3 organ with a Leslie cabinet. That's the only way to get that totally sweet sound. Some computer plug-ins sound pretty good, but nothing compares to the real thing!!! When I do demos, I'll use the Logic EVB3 plug-in but I'll always replace it with a real Hammond on the final product. And most of the time, its Ricky Peterson playing it, who's one of the best organ players in the world!

  • Wow!! Writing a song is both a science and an art. You are a genius, Brian. Keep moving, man.

  • Thanks Brian,

Keep the videos coming, its very cool to see how you and the guys all work together. Very nice stuff. Tell Mike Stever I said Hi. Went to school with him at UARTS. Thanks again and take it easy.

  • What's up Saxmonster!? I'll do a vblog about what you're asking. Stay tuned...lots of extra tech blogs (in addition to new music) coming for both the professional and for everyone else to enjoy ;) Thanks for watching! BC

  • Hi Brian,

Just wondering how your working with all thoes VI's and what not. Are they always running in the back ground? Is stylus always on and the same with Ivory? Doesn't this slow your mac down having all thoes Vi running? How is logic setup? Do you have each track linked to a certain Vi. Like 5 or so track just to stylus, 5 or so tracks to Ivory? If you could shed some more light on that aspect of your studio. What is the vienna program your running? Is that just a VI host?

  • Pretty nifty! I bet, a lot of people have been wondering, how an entire arrangement comes about and how all the writing and recording is done. Nice idea!

  • Sweet!!!

  • Thanks Brian. You are a genius.

  • BC you're the BEST!! This is so cool to see how you come up with the songs and sounds of your music. This will be the best video ever!

  • Omg, Brian, I love learning how you put a song together, so insightful! Thank you so much for taking us into your creative world!

  • Hey Brian, what are you thinking of when you are soloing? Your doing the same stuff that we do here at Berklee with the sequencing and everything, but your lines on the Ivory piano are sick! Erik

  • Cool cool....epsresso video is now up!! Lots more coming over the next several months...stay tuned ;) BC

  • Brian,
