  • just west of the west switch Shawmut. Between detectors 865 (Bosque), and 874 (Estrella)...this curve is at SP MP868...and is a realignment from the original S curve in the old steam era days.

  • Awesome, i wonder why they dont use 4-axle power for fast trains anymore, they have less resistance in curves, so they dont scrub off as much speed. I know the new GE 6 axle units only rest on a dime size patch of rail, maybe the newer units are more versatile. Great video, i miss the SP
