  • Sound great man, good playing too!

  • I know tubes are important, and tube sockets, too...but if you don't mind sharing your trade secrets...what kind of tube socks are you wearing in this video?????? They're awesome! I've got to get me a quartet so they'll last me all week.

  • Sweet tone.. great 'EC' style of playing! Thank you for sharing! :-)

  • You have stolen Richie Blackmore´s pedal. Can only be. Please, give it back to him and send me the parameters. Nice timber. Goddem madafucka!..

  • great playing! i think the tone sounds awsome, its really thick

  • that is a bad ass jam.

  • YOU GONNA FRY YO AMP WITH ALL THAT SHIT!

    ROFL!

  • This doesn't sound anything like a Bluesbreaker.

  • mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • how do i connect this amp to an external speaker do i just connect the input im not usuing into a cab

  • @NintendoSinceBirth1 well there are two cables attatched to the speaker. rip off the back cover to find those. then attatch one of them to the end of a guitar cable, and the other to the long metal part of the end of the cable. you have 50% chance of getting the right end in the right spot. the other side of this cable goes in your cab

  • @NintendoSinceBirth1 you unplug the 6" speaker that's plugged into the amp, and then plug your new speaker into that input. make sure to match impedance.

  • Don't let a bunch of clowns give you shit for your pedal. Tone is more about your fingers than your feet.

  • Sound great man

  • Multi pedal units generally sux azz........get a ts808, maybe a bd-2....dd-3, compressor and some eq....that's it.......

  • @CletusColtrane "That's it"? Shit, all I got going on here is a little compression and the bd-2 setting for a touch of boost. I got all that stuff too, but the tonal difference is barely noticeable, plus I got a bass boost on the ME-50. The only thing that ain't up to par is the fuzz, but then again even high end fuzz pedals can sound shitty since everyone likes a different flavor of fuzz. I still say even after a few years, the Me-50 is capable.

  • @PLUMBdogg The ME-50 was my first rig, and let me tell you--you want to look to expand. It sounds fine when compared to itself, but once you put the modeler of the ME-50 against the real thing, there will be no comparison. That, and being able to stack effects of the same kind on top of eachother (like pitch shift +chorus, OD+fuzz, and multiple delays) is a wonderful thing that you lose on a pedal like the ME-50. But don't expand unless you're serious about it...it'll snowball.

  • @PLUMBdogg I love my ME-50! I've had it for 7 years now. Get another Champion and run the ME-50 in STEREO! I use two silverface Fender Champs. Pure tonal bliss!

  • @CletusColtrane but there great for Meany Meany effects, don't suck ass just there are pedals out there that give you and exact sound you want...mu hahahhahahahahhahahahahha aaahhh hahahahhahaha. like a big muff pie isent shit but i wouldn't use it, ok yea now you know sweet!

  • @CletusColtrane Try unplugging all of the crap and playing.

  • Ohh !! You have such sexy socks !!! :*

  • Hairy leg and white sock - stylish!

  • love the tone. hendrix would be proud with that feel

  • A champ is a great amp, but the speaker sucks aaassss.

I now have a peavey classic 50. when I vonnect my champ to the C50's speakers, it sounds sweet!

  • @Guitarvirtuoso666 good point. I just posted an updated video with same setup. better camera and better audio. the speaker is good for just jammin at home but I think I would like to hear an alnico in there, maybe even get two amps with alnicos and try a stereo setup.

  • @PLUMBdogg

Well yeah the speaker really sounds quiet enough for home usage.

The only problem is you cant hear your tube distortion when you crank it, because it gets overshadowed by the speaker that distorts (which sounds awful).

I really recommend you connect it to any 12" speaker. You will be amazed how it sounds, and how it reacts to your dynamics!

  • @Guitarvirtuoso666 Man, you should be in Deep Purple band. Why don´t you send your resumé to them. I think they will call you up for an audition...

    Hugz!

  • @CarlosBluesman

    Hu what?

I think you must be mistaking,

it is not me playing in this video, it's even not my video,

PLUMBdogg is the owner of this video, and most likely the one playing in it

  • @Guitarvirtuoso666 Ow, boy, I sorry... Keep on Rockin´!

  • @CarlosBluesman

    that doesn't matter,

    but you are right,

I should be in deep purple!

    Cheers!

  • Hi, that is a great tone you create, sure it can be better with a 59 les paul and a jtm45 or something, but that' s not the point. When I see the other videos of the me-50 it looks to me like children that have become a new toy, switching everything on 10 and wonder how it sounds artificial, you found a good sound setup, even with the microphone in the room. Thank you for this.

  • Use the effects that sound right to your ear. A stompbox may sound bad on certain guitars and amps but may sound great on others. The difference is you can always count on the high quality effects to sound good on pretty much anything though. Great job. I thought the tone wasn't bad at all. It's hard for those champion 600s not to sound good!

  • ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. WELL DONE!!!!

  • I LIKE YOUR STYLE BLUESMAN

  • that tone is fucking great!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Seriously, the ME50 is stuck at 60hz and sounds like crap!! I had one for about two months and got rid of it.

  • Boss ME-50 = garbage tone. You need one quality OD stompbox and you're set with this amp! Nice playing, terrible mulitieffects pedal.

  • @cwcashiniv I find most people don't dial it in right. It's a perfect grab and go setup. I have a dozen handbuilt pedals and while the tone is better, it's barely noticeable. After all, they all do the same thing, boost your signal and add hi/lo pass filters. I wouldn't go that far to say it's garbage though.

  • @cwcashiniv I gotta agree with "PLUMBdogg"...No one seems to dial it in right...I LOVED the ME-50...

  • @cwcashiniv Some kids should stop to give bad advise to his mates. Guitarvirtuoso666 is playing magnific. He achieved Ritchie Blackmore tone so truly, that I felt transposed to one of those shows in the 70´s. Man, the sound is great! Don´t change it, please. The effects are real. Put all on stage and you will make a tremendous show. Congrats, and don´t hear advise from neophitos or courts conselers. Go ahead!

  • hey thats a pretty good replication.

ive got an me-50 too, what drive setting you on??

  • What power amp valve are you runnin?

  • It's all in the hands - did you ever see B.B. King or other known Blues players use a foot-pedal ???

  • too much compression

  • love it! Im with you, why spend all that money!lol!

  • awesome tone

  • Nothing wrong with that Fender rules in Amps !!!

  • i lol

  • GAY

  • Im getting a les paul studio guitar.. would this amp sound good with it? Im into classic rock/ blues stuff like zeppelin buddy guy beatles etc.

  • IME, little amps like these (Valve Junior combo, Champion) don't respond very well to humbuckers. i think it may be because of the small speakers, but the sound gets pretty muddy. On the other hand though, i think it's easier to get the amp overdriven with humbuckers. this is just my experience and my opinion though. the best thing would be to try it out somewhere.

  • also, it depends on if you're using a pedal with it or not. i think the amp sounds fine with a guitar with a humbucker through a fuzz or distortion pedal.

  • sound good

  • hey man better than nothing =)

  • Nice fingahs

    fabianramano said it right

  • Haha. It's just a little reverb, and a little o.d. never hurt no one. Just messing around with some toys, not making the White album. I have since acquired a RockyTop JTM45 with Sozo caps, Heyboer trannies, KT66's and the whole nine. Running into some Weber Ceramic Blue Dogs. Is that enough to get my "cork sniffing gear junky" card back?

  • @PLUMBdogg "Is that enough to get my "cork sniffing gear junky" card back? " - LOL! Well said.

  • great playing man. Good fingers help better than a good amp.

  • Best comment i've seen on youtube...

  • @gekaraki I suppose a good tongue and lips and healthy lungs make a good harmonica player, not the amp! Either way, a good musician who goes electric needs good equipment to compliment his or her talent. It's the whole package........I've heard technically good players with no soul or feeling and it's like watching a high quality movie with no plot. A good musician, performer can use or play with any equipment her or she feels fit, that includes an over-engineered pedal. How many people make it?

  • Yes great playing. But tone is everything! How bout we put Clapton on an old cheap Kay and get him an amp from walmart? If you're just having fun, ok then.

  • @MarvsTracks

Clapton on a cheap Kay will sound better than I on a 3k bluesbraker.....

  • nice samba la patti tone, realy boxy i love it

  • I really enjoyed listen to you play.

  • Nice playing, some of reminds me of Rory Gallagher. Nice tone as well

  • hi im going to get a higher end mexican tele and today, while i was at the guitar store, i saw this amp. Is this a good amp for a tele? i understand its only 200 dollars

  • I can say the VOX works great with my Strat and Tele. It really seems to favor single coils. Sounds good with my Gibson's but Fender's really shine.

  • yes yes yes. I dare say this is a soul mate for the telecaster. Try it out as well as the blues junior which is more money but has way more possibilities.

  • I was going between this amp and the VOX ACtv4. I picked the VOX. They are similar but I think I just liked the looks of the VOX more.

  • I played a '59 reissue Les Paul through one of those at a store and couldn't stop playing.

  • awesome woman tone, great licks. this rocks

  • This is great. Some really nice Clapton Bluesbreaker playing here!

  • dude, your pretty good...

  • nice tone!

  • tube

  • is the fender champion 600 a tube amp or a solid state amp?

  • tube amp :D

  • these little 5 watt amps rule i have the gretsch and its awesome and if you really want to let it scream plug it into a 2x12 or 4x12 its awesome

  • Boss ME-50 Multi Effects Guitar Pedal

  • Excellent tone!

  • lol man nice tone haha if i did this i woulda used the voc AC4TV to master the british tone

  • pop quiz.... where is marshall manufactured? (jeopardy music....)

  • yes, i know. the UK. but i was responding to another comment about the vox ac4tv. and i think you'd agree that those are more british sounding than a marshall.

  • how can you sound more british than british? when people say "the british sound" they are talking about marshall... but any way.... what rig do you use? peace!

  • you don't get it do you. i mean the super british jangle of a vox. anyway right now i've got a solid state behringer, but i just ordered the 22 watt all tube bugera v22.

  • sick! enjoy..

  • yeah, i'll post a viddo as soon as it arrives. it just shipped today so it'll be here in probably 3-4 days

  • i meant that they're more jangly sounding than a marshall... too el84ish.

  • nice play......

  • Dude If You Need A Cheap Pedal To Get The Perfect Blues Sound The Boss Blues Driver is for you its like 90$ US and its built around the tone of your guitar..I play it with a mexi Tele and it makes my guitar scream! You get the warmest/Or Brightest tones you could ask for definitely check it out..Its worth the money..Small And Powerful just like your amp!!!

  • what do you mean poor mans? :P

aint that what the blues is all about?

  • amen

  • I couldn't have said better myself.

  • No need to be ashamed, that is a great tone you are getting there! It's easy to get good tone with expensive gear, but with some imagination, a good ear and good hands, you can make anything sound good! Keep it up man!

  • i have the Boss ME-50 simply fantastic!

  • you should add "a brand new white socks" to ur tag!!!

  • good job man you shred im not into blues but its defenetly fun to play and your good at it

  • Very good mate. There were some of your licks that sounded like Josh Homme style.

  • does this amp have a line out?

  • TOOOONNNNE, sounds amazing

  • great tone :)

  • u have the best blues stuffs. what guitar? telecaster for the blues.

  • I like the strat or a les paul better...IMO

  • Well it all depends on ones own feel for a guitar.. So everyone is different.

I myself prefer a tele for my blues.

Though you can't go wrong with a LP ;)

  • Yeah man everyones different but i said IMO (In my opinion) I myself like the LP or Strat better.

  • Lol yeah i know what you mean mate

It was aimed at edvinaaa haha

But yeah i agree, Tele for me mainly, or a LP just to mix it up.

Strat for an all round versitile guitar :)

  • Sometimes I wish my strat had a lipstick pickup. Those things are sexy.

  • But they sound awful!

  • Nah they sound so nice and warm, especially with a fantastic tube clean tone

  • so true...

  • +1 for the strat. Hate LPs. The lower frets are too dang hard to reach for my big hands and the neck on mine gets all sticky after playing for a while.

  • Telecaster Thinline '72 is amazing for blues and jazz

  • I use LP for Rock/Blues or warm slow and soft blues.

Tele for fast fun good time blues.

    Thats the way IMO :)

  • I think this amp has a great sound, considering the obvious limitations of a 6" speaker. I do think it would sound better with a straight line between burstbucker magnet and vacuum tube. The solid state preamp stages (stompboxes) only suck out little bits of touch sensitivity. Still sounds better than a solid state amp, but no as good as it would with passive spring reverb and a tube driver pedal.

  • isnt the reverb and the overdrive not too good from ME50 ?

    P.S: i am planning on getting a ME 50

  • I'm using both in this video and I think it turned out alright.

  • Don't - Me50 sucks. Digitally destroys your tone. You will be left bare, thin and lifeless. Your mama wont even talk to you no more

  • Naaah. You ain't gonna be cuttin an album at Electric Ladyland with it, or playing the Fillmore but you'll find absolutely usable patches from it as long as you have a good source tone (tube amp). You'll have a blast with it.

  • whats the red pedal called? and how about the blue pedal board?

  • This amp sounds great, low volume big voice. I have a supersonic it`s to loud for home, at 60 watts this valve has a huge kick, no wonder it`s called `SuperSonic`.

You shouldn`t rate an amps output by it`s watts, it`s about decibels unless you understand about electronics just use your ear,. and if your thinking of buying a new amp, take your guitar with you, don`t use one out the shop there all different.

Any way this has got to be a must have for £ 100.00 quid..it`s sweeeeeeeeet TTFN.

  • I have a SuperSonic too. Loud as hell but sounds really great and very very versatile.

  • shit, i bought a champ today because my normal practice amp (a 200 watt SS randall half stack) was too loud, and low and behold this amp is pretty damn loud too. i think i need to invest in a cigarette pack amp or something, haha

  • holy shit, that sounds great, blows the epi vjr and blackheart amps away imo.

  • the fuckin next mick taylor man!!!!

  • wil u email me at davo39531@yahoo need to get info how get a amp sound like this one

  • I put what I used in the description of the video. Just some reverb and a slight overdrive and a Ross compressor clone AFTER the reverb and overdrive, then to the Champion. I used a Gibson SG Standard.

  • I just thought I'd say that I agree with sifs4 about 5 tube watts being approx equal to 40 solid state watts. My tube amp is only 5 watts (AX84 HO w/greenback speaker) and it completely blows away any solid state 15 watt amp... there's no comparison. My friend also has a 50 watt Marshall and I can keep up with his volume no problem. Albeit I have a 12" speaker and his is 10", but still 50 watts.

  • 5=40, that seems to be the consensus by alot of folks . I think it's all in the speaker sensitivity(efficiency). Either way, tubes rule over solid state for the type of music I like to play.

  • Agreed. Basically the reason that tube amps are louder is because with transistor (SS) amps they clip hard and fast when driven to their maximum distortion, but a tube has alot more headroom when it comes to driving it to the max. A transistor clips basically like a square wave but a tube 'clips' more smoothly, which is also why they usually sound better. Look it up, there are plenty of explanations for it. :)

  • Also when you crank a tube amp, you get some fucking awesome overdrive happening.

Yay for 10 watt tube amps on 10 =P

  • roughly, how many watts of solid state is this the 5 watts the equivilant of?

  • I'm not sure what the question is. You want to compare power of tubes vs power of solid state?

  • yea, basically i have a 30 watt solid state amp, but i heard that a 30 watt VALVE amp would be Much much louder. i was just wondering how a 5 watt valve amp would compete with my 30 watt solid state? thanks

  • I would think a watt is watt. It's a unit of measurement. Watts don't translate to volume, the speaker efficiency has more impact than the wattage. It is said that if you double the wattage of an amp, you increase it's volume by 3 decibels. So if you have a 50 watt Marshall and swap to a 100 watter, the volume increase isn't that dramatic but the response and dynamics of the amp will be. You could get the same results by swapping out the speaker to a higher efficiency one. ( 97dcb to a 100 dcb)

  • and btw, 3 decibals louder is actually DOUBLE the volume, that's why when you turn the gain up on a mixer all the way it's retartedly a lot louder than 9/10ths the way.

  • The human ear doesn't perceive sound in a linear fashion. 3 decibal increase is just that, 3 decibals. Even if it sounds waaay louder it is still just an increase of 3 decibals.

  • ok, w/e but really, every 3 db more is double the volume.

  • your half right, 3db is the minimum difference in sound the human hear can detect, and an increase in 3db doubles the RATING, not the loudness. ie, 15 watts plus 3db=30 Watts, which is NOT twice as loud. twice as loud as 15 watts is 150 watts. confusing i know

  • half right again... i think what you mean with the 15 watt to 150 watt amp change only applies for solid state.

either that or it's just a messup in the rating of tube amps, since they are measured by the amount of power they draw before a certain amount of distortion is reached. This means that a cranked tube amp pulls WAY more power than it's rated for

  • I think the 30 watt solid state would be much louder but with the right speaker the 5 watt would probably hold its' own. I have run mine to a pair of Veteran 30's that have an efficiency rating of 100 dB and can handle up to 65 watts. With a speaker that sensitive, it is pretty loud even though you're only putting 5 watts into it.

  • ACTUALLY they did a bunch of tests n shit, and decided on average you need 40 solid state watts to match the volume of about 5 class A tube watts.but to get a tube sound......there are few solid state amps good enough, the roland jazz chorus is an amazing solid state amp but it''s like 120 watts or sumthin.

  • I'm not sure if I believe that. I have a Vox solid state that is just as loud as the Fender. The Vox is 10 watts and the Champ is 5 but yeah the Champ smokes it in the distortion department.

  • ok, but for the MOST part, 5 solid state watts= 40 solid state watts, i didn't make this up.

  • well yes 30 watts is 30 watts. However take an amp such as the Pro Junior by Fender which is 15 watts. I used to own that amp and if you turned it anywhere over 6 the pictures would start shaking, it was much louder than any 15 watt solid state amps out there. I'll give you a suggestion buy a tube amp with a controllable pre-amp volume and a master volume such as the Fender Blues Junior. Or buy a small 5w tube amp such as the champion 600.

  • Sounds cool!

  • Sounds great dude

  • Tasty playing man...you truly deserve a real deal amp

  • nice licks :)

  • how much better is the ME-50 than the ME-20 ?

  • a fair bit. lots more fx to play with

  • Is there any way to bypass the me-50 or how would you wire it in the effects loop?

  • its not really "Full bypass" its cuts some of your volume out, but you would put this first to your effects chain.

  • Toasty Blues licks!.

  • Nice playing and nice sound

  • Does the Champ have a speaker out?? Needs a bit more air for this to be top drawer, would sound nice in a bigger speaker/cab setup no doubt...

  • I unplug the speaker and use a long cable to connect it to an external cab. I made a video of it running to two 12" Veteran 30's from WGS speakers. It sounds really thick but with a little bite to it.

  • Can the ME-50's Delay be two at once?? For eg. activating echo and delay SIMULTANEOUSLY.

  • yes it can

  • tbh i prefer this to the ceriatone.

    very nice tone,

    well done!!!

  • Two totally different beast. I liked this tone alot too but I also think I recorded my Ceriatone clip a little too loud and it came out a little brighter sounding than it really was. You should hear when I pull two tubes on the 65 Twin Reissue and use the ES-335. Pure Chicago Blues heaven.

  • Nice sound...what kind of guitar do you use?

  • Gibson SG Standard

  • Dude...you can make your guitar sing

  • just listened to that again - so awesome - i like it much better than your ceriatone - doesnt even come close, really.

  • Nice playing and nice tone.

  • very bluesy sound

  • Ive got some ME50 settings on my channel.

  • I see your using the od/ds on the boss. what setting are u using and what are the nobs on? Cuz i cant really get a good sound out of the me50 cuz they give like a tone and bottem and level and drive to the blues driver, so im like super confused on trying to use the ods and ds

  • your tone is awesome! its like SRV!

  • more like clapton. srv has a cleaner sound

  • I wonder how it would sound if you could get a wall of those and somehow hook em all to a single guitar...

  • Probably pretty frickin sweet....and loud too!

  • lol, natural delay I'll bet.

  • Damn, that's some nice sound. You could play BB on it! Lovely, makes me consider to one day buy one

  • Oh yea !..now that sound is what I have been after. A Fender Champion 600 will be be my next amp . The old ZZtop grungy blues is my favorite and you do it well. I have only tried one other 5 watt amp and it stinks ( Epiphone Jr.) I sent it back as soon as I got it. I wanted your sound you have on this vid. I guess a compressor helped too.

  • ur still better than i am if thats wat u mean by "dont take me seriously"

  • thanks. just refering to the comparison of this amp setup and a real marshall bluesbreaker combo.

  • nice demo. i was wondering, how do the modern distortions from that ME-50 sound through the 600? i have that same pedal, and i'm thinkin about getting the 600 for my for my dorm room, but i wanted to know if it could do any sort of modern tones.
