  • Wonderful how something is so far and we have pictures showing the ground of venus so close that you can see rocks and dirt.

  • Pure cellestial class !!!

  • FOR ASTONISHING FACTS ABOUT THE UNIVERSE, JUST TYPE IN THE BOX:

    Quran and Science

    SEVEN PARTS!

  • i love large countries like russia

  • thank you to russia very much thank you! im a boy in philipines

  • Thanks! You helped me alot. :D Great video dude! :)

  • Russian probe worked for 2 hours

  • Venus is a true hell.... But lucky enough, we were born to a ''paradise''....

  • Venus isn't the only hellish place to live as conditions of other planets and moons are just not right to support life as we know it. Therefore any other place is hellish whether it's too hot or cold. We can stand on the moon, Mars and even at places on Mercury like the dark side in a space suit though.

  • Thank You AggManUK. Most BEAUTIFUL series!. Very poetic thanks Oldfield's music. Good choice!. Interesting form of presentation!. A little suggestion for International Astronomical Union ... shouldn't "Venus" change her name on "Vulcan" ?. It is most adequate designation to our present knowledge (and better fit to the present women nature. Isn't it? ;) ). Regards!.

  • i remember that venus is like the devil or something like that you forgot to put that

  • the most vicked planet..........aaaaaaaaa really i wont be there for my holy day.

  • Armigo91- that would be a nice idea if the heat from Venus wouldn't pop the balloons or an astroid -.- they don't think about that stuff o.e

  • @Shapeshifteroflight

    hmm,

the heat in venus atmosphere on high altitudes, like 100km as i said are much lower then the 500degrees at the bottom, more like 50degrees (celsius) which is liveable. Even if the floating ballons which i reffered to were existing within a 500degrees environment, there are still countless of materials that coud sustain itself under such temperatures, now may it even be lower.

The reffered 500degrees temperature what this vid tells about is correc,t but its

  • the temperature meassured at ground level (the surface of the planet) the hypothetical concept (but possible) idea of floating citys, will exist as low as 80km altitude by nitrogen or hydrogen ballons or even helium ballons that can float as high as 120km above the surface of venus, at this altitude its much colder then on the surface,

todays problem is that it still takes 10.000 dollars for launching one kilo into orbit let alone get it to venus.

    thats why its hypothetical,

  • but it is possible, and with a overview of humans current capabilities, my concept would be the easiest way to habitat on venus, which isnt my idea, but a author which i read his book.

  • INCREDIBLE JOB! THANKS A LOT! Venus is a VERY chaotically hot, but gorgeous planet! I used to look at it through my telescope, but, the un-forged aluminum tripod broke! All I have is the tube. I can't find a new tripod. We should send another probe that CAN withstand the temperature & pressure somehow. We could get some better pictures, and more info. Mars is approx. the same in gaseous compositions. Mars: ~95% CO2!

    THUMBS UP! =D

"The Universe is a Beautiful, Mysterious, & Chaotic Place."

  • can you please name a planet in the solar system where the weather is more hostile than Venus?

  • How do we know this for sure? like i knoe theres technology its weird.

  • i dont know what is worse...hell or venus! im glad i will never have to go there :-)

  • the sulfuric acid is mostly created trough volcanic activity. there are however some freakin nice concept about living on venus. Not in the way you think though. Because venus atmosphere consist of dense gasses it is possible to float balloons with ordinary gasses on earth. Which make it possible to produce large platforms with balloons that coud float humans on a altitude that produces similar pressure compared to earth.

Not that this will happen in the near future.

  • as you read venuses atmosphere only consists 3% out of this metal eatin acid. The point is that almost all these gasses are at the surface because of their weight in comparison to carbon. Because of the pressure it took the spacecraft 20minutes to reach the surface from the top of the atmosphere at 120km altitude. The reason is because due to the air pressure the spacecraft deacelerated towards less then 100km per hour beneath 50kilometres altitude. Landing their is easy. Staying there,however..

  • The russian venera 9 probe landed on venus in 1975 and took the first and only closeup images of venuses surface. There were only 3 pictures photographed cause the spacecraft was lost a few seconds after it touched down on the surface. Porbably due to the pressure and the metal eating sulfuric acid that the atmosphere is made of.

Longer stays at venus would require another type of metal or a completely different type of material.

There are real life surface images of venus. just a few like3

  • Impresionantes las fotos de la sonda Venera con imágenes auténticas de la superficie de Venus. ¡Me iré allí próximamente de vacaciones y traeré más fotos! :-D

  • You make some great videos, I have to say. Venus is one of those things that really should have been more like, say, Bradbury's imagination - a lush, sweaty world of jungles and warm rainstorms, with maybe a hot blooded population of passionate people. That would be a place to visit. It's still beautiful, but in a frightening, blast furnace kind of way. I can't give up the images of torrential rain lashing thick trees and steaming plateaus.

  • so how could a day b longer than a year, so the day passes but their still backwards in the same year but new day

  • @MrDroberts24 When the planet rotates around the Sun (Year) before it completes one of it's own rotations (Day). Hope that helps. :O)

  • @AggManUK in other words slow spin huh

  • Comment removed

  • @MrDroberts24 I don't think anybody on venus is keeping track.

  • @Midnightrambler3760 Keeping track of what.

  • How do they know that about the days? They haven't even been there ever. And never will.

  • good vid

  • Those images of the surface are AMAZING! I didn't know people had sent a lander to venus. GO RUSSIA! I wonder why america hasn't tried. Thank AGG.

  • at 2:50, since when has the Sun been classed as an object in the night sky???

  • @bctallgirl Think about it! What do you think lights up the Moon? Yep, the Sun. So he is correct. :)

  • @AppleGodGordon gosh Gordon, thanks for that, yes the sun lights the moon, that's why the moon is the brightest object in the night sky. Now as a little reminder for you, the difference between day and night is you see the sun in one and not the other. I'll let you figure out which is which and then maybe you'll understand my previous comment.

  • @bctallgirl LOL! The whole Universe is a night sky!

  • @bctallgirl

Since the time that it was located in the universe.

  • the ground kind of look like smashed slabs of concrete. cool

  • dude u smart as hell i never knew these thing grood gob:)

  • I miss the cold war...we got a lot more stuff accomplished back then. lol, but I'm sure the Russians are happy.

  • we do call it the planet hell

its known as the sister of earth but here he is right its the evil sister of earth and i'd never like to spent my holidays up there

  • THX

  • don't make me cry!

  • oh sorry. just realized this was put up 1 year ago. sory. Question: Do astroids ever crash or impact into the sun?

  • They certainly do. Comets too. However being so small and the sun so large they have no effect on the sun at all .

  • oh ok. thanks

  • I told you they had pictures of Venus. Not many people believed me though.

  • In so many ways, Venus reminds me of Los Angeles.

    Thanks Aggman, another fantastic video.

  • Which Mike Oldfield song is this?

  • Women Of Ireland. :o)

  • I have never been to Ireland, so I do not know whether or not this selection is appropriate. I know that "Women of America" would be the perfect title song for your Jupiter video. :P Bring on the hate replies!!

Btw, I did not enjoy the 30 minutes I spent in the UK (Iate arrival, so my time in Britain was spent sprinting across Heathrow to catch my connecting flight. Everyone was quite helpful, however.). I hear it's usually a better experience for tourists.

  • Hey, remeber me?

  • thank you aggmanuk i love you

  • big thank to russia

  • I second that! What a great achievement by them. The best news though, is that they are planning to go back again! Can't wait! :O)

  • How can venus had a cloud and rain. 5/5 for vid.

  • Think of every liquid cycles on planets. Venus has sulfur dioxide just like Earth has dihydrogen monoxide (water). Water vapor condenses into water while SO2 condenses into sulfuric acid. :D

  • anything that has to do with space and extra terrestrial planets I just find absolutely amazing

  • Man! Look at the perfect triangles and squares on the surface and all lined up how did that happen not just a ramdom few here and there its all lined up or maybe it was partof the probe that landed in the picture

  • yes, that is part of the probe Venera. and that square thing is a color indicator to help determine what is the color of Venus's surface.

don't tell me that u were thinking about UFO conspiracy stuffs D:

  • LOL no way UFO lol

  • AHAHA!!! That's what I was kinda thinking at first, but it turns out to be tracks of the probe...

  • ??? no there are no tracks ??. Venera is stationary, it can't move freely like Mars' Spirit or Opportunity Probe/Rover.

  • So what, you expect me to believe those are "ufo" tracks? The probe probably landed on the ground and tracked veneran soil before it got destroyed due to Venus' toxic atmosphere...

  • Venera cannot move. It doesn't have wheels. I dunno what do you mean by tracks? if u can show me which minute did u see the "tracks", i can explain what is that.

  • Ohhh nevermind, I thought 5:32 on the bottom were probe tracks or whatever....

  • lol that's the camera lens cover

  • Comment removed

  • MAN THIS WAS COOL!! THANX!

  • Thank you! :O)

  • Venus orbits from West to East because it has no magnetic field, which clearly indicates its core has completely solidified.

Yes, its day is longer than its year. There is however evidence that Venus has had oceans and liquid water in the past on its surface.

  • Not sure we are being told the 100% truth about what is beyond the Earth. We are told that Venus has a crushing atmosphere with extreme heat yet several Russian probes parachute successfully through its atmosphere, land, and then take photos of its surface!!

  • Actually, you have it the wrong way around. Several probes got crushed going through the atmosphere before they got one to land, and then they didn't last long at all. Watch the BBC TV show called the Planets and you will see the Russians explain how this all happened, and how many probes it took them before they got those famous pictures. :O).

  • i didn't know that we actualy have venus's surface picturee wooww great !!!!!

  • I still laugh at the short story "All Summer in a Day," written in 1954 about school children on Venus who cannot see the sun due to the thick clouds and forests described on Venus. If only the author had known....

I hope they don't laugh at us 50 years from now.

  • But... Isn't Venus "supposed to Transit?" in 12/12/2012?

  • No, the next will be on 5-6th of June 2012.

  • Yea That's What I Mean't... kinda made a mistake :s

  • A very special distinction for your musical contributor who provided such a wonderful melody with his tremendous talent as a performer and arranger! :-)) It fits so well with your script!

  • I know right? It seems that Mike Oldfield's music were fit for space and AggManUK is just good at associating the music perfectly with the planet it fits...all the best to AggManUK and MikeOldfield!

  • I am a great fan of both AggManUK and Mike Oldfield. Looking one more time, I noticed how well the progression of the story and the changes in the arrangement fitted to each other. Just one more reason to enjoy this great work.

  • Your very, very kind! Thank you very much for watching! All the best! :O)

  • :O)

  • Thats great! Thank you very much for watching and leaving the great comment! :O) All the best!

  • Raining H2SO4 Geesh

  • Just plant billions fo plants on Venus, clone water and bring animals there and you have another Earth xD

  • our planet could end up like venus?

  • So much for my vision of Venus as a planet of hot Amazonian women.

  • if i was on venus i would die

  • Yes you would, so don't go! :O)

  • lol

  • LOL I bet would

  • Well obviously u would die are u stupid, did u even read the facts, its temperature over 400 (C) THE HOTTEST PLANET IN THE SOLAR SYSTEM, know do u understand

  • Thank you very much and feel free to show them to your pupils. I hope they enjoy them! :O) All the best!

  • NASA's lies, The Image that was blue and white that is labeled "false color" ... False color?? Why is it blue and white when I look up in the sky? NASA makes everything look orange or red or hellish! Venus ,Earth ,Mars are all planets that support life. They even lie about the size of Mars which in some pics show longitude to go up to 324 degrees.(crater hale) and if you use Mariner Valley as a measure stick at roughly 2800 -3000 miles you will see mars is bigger than earth!

  • Can you not think why NASA would use false colour? Really?

Mars' bigger than Earth? LOL!!!!! Thats a wild imagination you have going there!

  • Hmm I terraformed Venus and Mars in photoshop and they look really beautiful! It almost looks realistic as if it was really Earth. I'll show you pics if you want...

  • I would love to see them! Why don't you make them into a slide show and post them on your channel? Let me know if you do! :O)

  • Well Nasa does lie sometimes but VENUS BEING LIKE EARTH AND EVERY ROCKY PLANET LIKE MARS IS A HORRENDOUS IMAGINATION you've got going on there! Last time I've checked, Venus has a coppery color just like the metal it's associated with. Also, Venus is kind of orange, like Aphrodite's hair, so you think that Earth would steal Venus' beauty for all she has left? Also, it's the thick clouds of Venus that makes it very bright in the sky. It's blue due to the atmospheric conditions on Earth..

  • Dude I'm not trying to start a debate or win an arguement here, but if the Mars probes have actually been on Mars, they could've actually seen that Mars is smaller somehow. I think you mean that since Mars' surface is literally "bigger" than Earth because it has more dry land?

  • To think of Venus being feminine or coppery paints an oxymoron when finding the true character of Venus down inside.

Would anyone want to buy real estate there? Sure! why not? what? Oh, the piece of real estate is 50-66 km above the surface!

Would it be possible to terraform Venus to more hospitable look, perhaps more feminine? Ha.

  • LOL! Who knows! :O)

  • I think earth might burn like Venus, since they believed it was exactily like earth but i doubt it.They say they heard Venus lighting a sign of lighting usaully raining..you see cold water and warm water rub each to make light..But for venus i would say that two acid would be rubbing each other for lighting...so there might be life living in the clouds we just have to wait

  • There is a small possibility of life in the clouds of Venus, as the higher you go, the more Earth like it becomes. Great comment! All the best. :O)

  • I like ur videos

  • Many thanks for watching them! All the best! :O)

  • Many welcome's for thanking me All the best! :O)

  • East to west rotaion, i've always wondered how is that possible. Recently i wondered if Venus was struck by a large planetoid early in it's history that tipped it over ?

It's been hinted at that Uranus was also struck by something that tipped it on it's side.

  • I never knew pics of the surface of Venus even existed! Waaaaaaaaaaayyyyy Cooooool!!!!

  • LOL! :O) Many thanks for watching! All the best! :O)

  • Hmm something just came to mind, if carbon dioxide is the same thing as a carbonate, then can I say that the planet is 96% Carbonate? Or 96% carbonated...

  • Mmmm... Is carbon dioxide really the same thing as a carbonate? Have a search around and tell me what you think. :O)

  • Well, Wikipedia says that a carbonate is really a salt or ester of a carbonic acid...wow haha I was wrong sorry. By carbonated I thought I meant carbon dioxide because you know... Carbon and "ate" indicates the presence of oxygen...

  • i have read iain stewart's book in translation i think he is a geologist. at the last chapter he mentions that earth at her final days will be something like venus or worst. Nothing like what people years ago thought about venus, about the new and better world they expected. is this earths end?

  • Well, the Earth will end as the Sun enters its final phrases of death. For a while our planet will be very much like Venus, though it wont last long. As for modern times, yes man can damage the Earth to a point where it becomes Venus like. Though the Earth will recover from this, but humans wont. :O( Thanks for the interesting comment! :O)

  • Hmm well the sun wont go supernova, not even nova, but I'm sure it will shrink into a white dwarf which would cool the Earth down...only leaving it a rocky planet with no life...

  • Your right, it wont. That is really good news for our outer planets and moons though :O)

  • I wonder what happens though after our Solar System "ended" with our sun as a white dwarf. I mean like, what do you think will happen to the planets? Will they escape or something...

  • Well there are a few scenarios really. As the Sun enters the Red Giant phase, it will engulf Mercury and Venus, but with a bit of luck, fall short of Earth. It will however be the end of life on Earth. As the Sun keeps expanding, then the orbits of all the other planets will expand, but not by a great deal. As the Sun shrinks there is a chance that it will pull the Earth in with it. As for the other planets, they will survive, but in a much colder Solar System.

  • After an unimaginable amount of years our Sun will go from a White Dwarf to a Black Dwarf. There is no real reason why our Planets will not still be orbiting it though.

  • WOW...that is very interesting! I guess that Earth can't let go of it's life-bearing parent, the Sun, no matter how much the sun will turn against her lol. I doubt we'll ever get to see a black dwarf in our lives since like you said, they take an unimaginable time to form from white dwarves let's say about the age of the universe. I'm guessing the gas giants will be frozen solid? If that's possible for example, Neptune might have a frozen atmosphere and beneath it is...water to excavate...

  • also scratch that last part about my crazy imagination if it was possible for the gas giants atmospheres to freeze solid and if it was possible to penetrate deep into it to obtain water LOL...I'm just so crazy sometimes. All the best! :)

  • Don't forget about bodies giving of more heat than they recieve from the Sun. :O)

  • BLAST ME!! AHAHAH...how could I forget about that? Sorry I forgot about planets producing their own heat, I guess I'm just too cooky sometimes heheh

  • LOL! :O)

  • Also how smart astrologers are...since Venus is really hot and associated with beauty, people born with Venus influence are thought to be attractive and "hot"..interesting eh? Haha somehow I just can't beat astrology, no matter how awkward it is. Take Mercury for example, a ruler of Gemini so people born under the influence of it are witty fast thinkers (and it really works)..I wonder how astrology works so well but anyways, just wanted to share with you. All the best!

  • If only there were a way to cool down that planet...or mabye its really hot because its still in its growing phase. Mabye Earth was really hot like Venus at one time.

  • Earth certainly was like that at one time, billions of years ago. :O) Because of our distance from the Sun and the magnetic field etc.. etc.... We cooled down and the crust hardened and volcanoes became far and few between. Though Venus is another story, its surface hints that not so long ago (compared to the Earth) the entire surface of Venus was molten. Its a shame, but it would take a lot more than just cooling down for Venus to become like Earth. :O( Thanks for the comment! :O)

  • So why does Venus rotate backwards?

  • Hi!

There could be a few reasons. Maybe it was just made that way. Maybe the tidal force of the Earth caused it to slow down and go into reverse. I think I can safely say the most common theory is that it was hit by a massive force in the past. Because Venus surface is so young though, its hard to tell as there is no evidence. All the best! :O)

  • Experts say a long time ago an object collided with Venus and caused Venus to rotate backwords.

  • Yup, it does seem the most logical explaination. :O)

  • Did you notice that if you trace the planets orbits around the sun they all spiral inwards while Venus spiral outwards? I tried that in the program I sent you...

  • Your videos of the planets are great! Great choices with the music as well. Really works well to compliment the natural beauty of our solar system.

Would love to watch them all, but got to get ready for work. =/ Have to finish later, cause i'm loving the peaceful vibe. =)

  • Your very kind! Thank you very much for watching and the great comment! Hope your day went well. :O) All the best! :O)

  • i am convinced that venus is hell. The planet is also associated with Satan in other ways.

  • Hell or not, i wouldn't want to go there for a picnic! Thanks for watching and the comment! All the best! :O)

  • How so?

  • Lol I thought Saturn is Satan because of it's evil depictions of the grim reaper and aging and death stuff, but Venus is he satanic "pride" of beauty and lust..

  • I don't have the slightest clue what your talking about!!! LOL :O)

  • Haha I was referring those planets to Satan in various ways, where Saturn is sometimes depicted as an old-aged person with a scythe (grim reaper), and Venus is hot as hell.

  • this is not hell but just a model for people to see the truth. As God said in his holy book Quran, there will be clouds of fire upon the heads of the non believers. (don't mind as i didn't write it word by word) i first thought how come fire be dangerous on the head of some one, but then i heard about venus and i got frightened. And one other thing that sun will rise from west on dooms day that is in Muslims believes.

don't get me wrong as its just comments... Cheers

  • The terrain is very flat because of the intense atmospheric pressure. I hear it's like the ocean bottom, the pressure could carry rocks with it.

  • Yes, even volcanoes would struggle to reach any great heights. Thanks for watching and the great comment! All the best! :O)

  • We used to live on venus! but we polluted it to oblivion, and we moved to Earth, which we are about to do again! Thats why the atmosphere is 96% co2 :D

  • LOL Interesting, but then you would have to add that we left venus for earth and then lost all our technology and de-evolved into apes before once again re-evolving back to our current human state. :O)

  • The two pictures from the old russian probe show a terrain and a sky that could be found on Earth (unless they were pictures in black and white, coloured by scientists) and its at odds compared to the way I imagine an environment at 500°C and 90 atmospheres.

  • Thanks for the comment! How do you imagine it to be? All the best! :O)

  • With a more dry-looking terrain, more similar to the very hot deserts on Earth. In the first picture I thought "wet terrain" at first. while in the second one the sky seems similar to the sky on Earth.

  • Why every probe that land on venus only last 30 minutes??? Is it the pressure of venus that destroy it??? Then how long was the russian probe land on it?

  • Yes the pressure is huge on Venus, and the heat don't help either. I dont remember exactly hour long the probe lasted, but i doubt if it was over half an hour. Many probes failed before the Russians finally touched one down, most were crushed before getting near the surface. Thanks for the great comment! All the best! :O)

  • I wonder what would happen if we switched Venus and Mars' orbit (another one of my crazy imaginations)..haha then would Venus rain its atmosphere and Mars would have liquid water or something? But don't worry, once again it's my crazy imagination..

  • Well i am sure it would do Venus the world of good. Not so sure about Mars though, it would need a few thing more than just being moved to help the poor little planet out. :O( Great comment! All the best!

  • haha yes, and so I was wondering if we can spread enough baking soda and vinegar on Mars to get just enough CO2 to warm it up slightly (once again, my crazy imaginations)

  • I've the same fantasy too about Venus placed in martian orbit but

I wouldn't place Mars in Venus orbit since I would switch Mars with the Moon: our useless rocky Moon placed as Venus' natural satellite and the potentially earth-like Mars replacing the Moon as Earth's natural satellite (of course at higher distance from Earth since Mars has a much greater mass than the Moon).

Mars orbiting Earth could possibly melt its icecaps and terraform (minus breathable atmosphere) by its own.

  • Interesting..although I like our precious moon placed in our orbit as it is and without it, our calendar would invalidate but I respect your opinion. After all, we all have different fantasies and perspectives, don't feel bad...

As for Mars I would move it slightly closer near Earth's orbit but not too close or it'll affect its orbit of eccentricity. Putting Mars in Venus' orbit would be the end of its atmosphere. The sun might consume Venus in the future and its useless to focus on Venus..

  • ...also I guess Venus will just have to remain with its natural "beauty" with dense atmosphere and all that for now. With Time, the sun surely grows and who knows? It might consume Venus and possibly Earth. If possible that our hard work of terraforming Venus is a success, its useless. This leaves to our only hope of Mars and other moons like Titan...all the best and peace to you!

  • Not only that, but Earth would probably kick off Mar's magnetic field, and that would really start the ball rolling for Mars. Great comment! All the best!

  • Thanks to your videos I started knowing more about planets.Wonderful job.Just one question and sorry for my poor scientific knowledge.why we say that Venus is very hottest and not Jupiter which seems to have a temperature of more than 23000 degree celsius.Could you please explain me?once again thanks to you I created a lot of interest in science espescially astronomy. Please continue to encourage persons like me by posting more videos so that we can learn more

  • I am so glad you are watching and learning! :O) As for the temperature, the temperature given for Venus is the surface temperature. Jupiter does not have a surface to speak of, so it relates to a different thing. Hope that help? :O)

  • In the photos near the end...of the space craft that landed on Venus....what are those scale like things in the bottom of each photo. They look like the back of an Iquane or the inside of a sharks mouth or something.

  • This has been asked a few times, it is just part of the probe itself. It does look a bit like shark teeth though. :O) All the best!

  • these are very good videos u have compiled brillaint! by the way what is this lovely mike oldfield track?

  • Many thanks! The track is called 'Women Of Ireland' from the Voyager album. A great album!!! All the best! :O)

  • Wonderful video!!!!!!!!!!

    Greetings,

    Guedes

  • Greetings to you too Guedes! Your very kind! Thank you very much for watching and the great comment! All the best! :O)

  • I heard that the solar wind blows off Venus' atmosphere little by little and some of its radiation is headed towards Earth...isn't that bad for us? I read somewhere that Venus used to have water but it evaporated and it has 100x less water than on Earth. So my question is Venus a young planet volcanically active or a really old ancient planet with its water stripped off because of the solar wind?

  • Yes it's true, if you could see it with your eyes, you would see a large tail off Venus' atmosphere being blown away and almost reaching the Earth. Don't worry though, our magnetic field can handle it.

The water question is a tough one and nobody really has a definite answer. We are almost certain Venus is old, but its surface is new, this is because of massive volcanic activity in the past. So your guess is as good as anyones! :O)

  • These are my beliefs, or atleast some possible scenarios that I have not ruled out. PLease do not take offense to them. I truly hope PLanet X does not exist, but something has been causing mass extinctions for millions of years, and no one has decided on an explanation yet (except NASA, and they are not talking anymore) Whatever happens, I hope the world is a better place than it is now.
