THANK YOU! This really made the concept easier for me to understand. I really wish you did more tutorials. I'd love to see your take on 2 and 3 point. The loose technique really made for a fun look and helped take the pressure off of being exact. Thanks again.
i'd say you're almost pushing to 5pt perspective drawing by having the curved lines... though you've only established one vanishing point. someone once coined the term "seussian" or "seussical" (nothing to do with the musical...) and i've explored that with some of my own perspective drawings. it would be interesting to see how you would translate your style into 2pt or even 3pt perspective drawing
Thanks for the one point video tutorial! It was very informative, clear and entertaining with your VO. I also like your loose style. It give the drawing more life.
I just did and tutorial on three point perspective and was wondering if you could take a look at it and let me know what you think.
I've been sketching characters my whole life, but when I decided I wanted to expand my subject matter, I found that I had HELL with land and cityscapes. This helped SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much.
i like how u dont put music in ur video. most ppl think its cool, but the other people cant hear wat the other person is saying in the video, and you cant really understand wat the person is tryn to tell you.
wow this really helped for art classes with my students. I really appreciate it. THANK YOU. It is nice that there is nothing that would be outside the box to show to young students...BIG ART HUGS to YOU..FROM rebecca in Virginia
There an easy way to create a grid? I don't think I possess the patience you have to draw them all out each time like you do. I got frustrated trying to get the spacing right with a ruler, I can only imagine freehand.
hmmm interesting but what happens if you have a character that is 6 heads tall and you may have to place the haracter above the horizon line, is that cool?
hi, i am doing interior desin and residential architechture and i mainly visualise things. i am now learning how to put this on paper. do you think your book would help me?
Hey there. My book is a concept art book, mostly consisting of characters, creatures, and some machinery and landscapes. You can check out my website as I have some sample images from the book. Take a look and see if it's something that would be helpful to you. Thanks for the comment.
This tutorial is really clear. It's enjoyable just to sit back, listen, watch, and learn. I was hooked from the beginning with the perspective, then the shadows and figures pulled the drawing together for its full effect.
Hi! I'm TheQuinkan from DeviantArt :D This is really helping me. I' m trying to make a comic book and I might buy the book you mentioned :D It somewhat interests me :D
This is how to do it! finally I see someone putting a grid down in perspective before drawing the layout, nice work! I would like to see something hand drawn though ;)
Thanks a lot my friend. Yeah...that grid really comes in handy. I don't use it all the time, but it's one of those things you sometimes can't do without. Well...I don't have any type of vid cam to record myself drawing...and pretty much all my illustrations are done digitally these days but I'll see what I can do.
Hey, it's Toxicapocalypse/moreserotonin-please from DA. I followed the link in your journal.
I found this really helpful. :] I suck with perspective so this really cleared up a lot of things for me. I like how relaxed your style is, I think I'm going to start being less anal retentive about lines now too lol
thanks you so much, ive been getting frustrated with perspective and you made it easy to understand

666pandemic 2 years ago
Well, I think the reason for freehand is that it's faster and looser. I think it might be more fun, actually. (Rather than using a ruler.)
