  • 7 People are WAY PAST HELPING!!

  • Cheers to all the ramblers out there!

  • Blam ! In your face Blews!

  • I waited for my chance to see Albert live, and my wife bought me the tickets as a present, but the Iceman passed away before the concert took place: I was heartbroken. RIP Albert

  • Got to see Albert and Debbie in Columbia, MO. What a blues show. Debbie played with Albert and I mean with. She wasn't outdone and best of all, he played some in the parking lot. Saw Buddy Guy do that in Springfield, MO one time. Big crowds or just a few people, bluesmen and blueswomen have the same fire burning in them. Blues saved my sanity.

  • Guy on keys was on it

  • Yes, it's Debbie Davies. I saw Albert play Rockefeller's in Houston in about 1987, and she played alongside him on that show. I think it was probably the same personnel as in this video.

They brought the house down. Albert and his horns left the stage during the encore and played a good part of the number out on the sidewalk in the misty drizzle, on the curb of Washington Blvd. I'll never forget that night!

  • I love the scene where they cut to the passed out guy.

  • Best Keys I have heard in my life. WOW!!

  • amazing!

  • I'm drunk

  • i love when the show the guy passed out in his chair

  • Drank more beer than I spent pennies..Wooo

  • put the smile on my face everytime:)

  • My guess is the other guitarist is Debbie Davies. She is a fine guitarist and has several CDs out that are worth getting.

  • Double sax solo! Where else are you gonna see that?!

  • Who's the pretty lady on the guitar?

  • @pvrhye Debbie Davies

  • I wonder who's the other guitar player. Just being curious.

  • Been saying this to my wife for years....

    Love Telecasters!

  • He is so drunk here.

  • Did anyone else notice that the sax player is playing two at the same time?!?

  • He was the master. Just incredible. I'm jealous of every single person in that audience that they got to see him play live.

  • I think this is the most fin ANYONE has ever had on stage. Losing their cool is an understatement. Love it!

  • WOW! THERE IS A TON OF ENERGY ON THAT STAGE! WHAT A MEMORABLE NIGHT FOR THE BLUES FANS IN ATTENDANCE! THE DOUBLE SAX IS PRETTY IMPRESSIVE, BUT THE KEYBOARD PLAYER IS OFF THE CHAIN!

AND ALBERT---WHAT CAN YOU SAY!! CLASSIC! AND CLASSY!!

  • @niecydurley he aint the master of the telecaster for nothing :P

  • Albert Collins had the most charisma of ANY Bluesman ever!!!! See you in the resurrection Al!

  • I aint drunk! Im just drankin baby! Killer song !

  • @Bluessugar1 I LOOOVE this song!!! that's how we do it in the US!!!!

  • great blue video

  • Goooooood Stuff Maynerd !

  • When A.C. passed on the family requested a very small, very private memorial. Albert was so loved and respected by so many people in the music industry, that request became a full blown 3 day blues fest. True story.

  • Love this aggressive style of guitar playing.. does anyone know what AC has around the body? It looks like a t-shirt for the tele :P It isn't black paint right..

  • @IJS84 It is a neoprene guitar sock. It just slide on, like you would put on a textbook sleeve or something. It is to protect his tele from belt buckle rash and other kinds of damage.

  • You know Buddy is seated at the back with a Whiskey and soda.

  • You know Buddy is seated at the back with a Whiskey soda on the ricks,

  • Well... I'd rather have a bottle in front of me... than to have a frontal labatomy...!

  • @ThomasDeLello one leads to the other

  • haha, one dude is nodding off.Hey man,it's the blues,it ain't about getting well at the jazz club.

  • if this dont make ya smile you NEED a drink!

  • anybody knows the name of the female guitarist in the band ?

  • @alexisedme Debbie Davies

  • Charlie Sheens theme song ..

  • playin the guitar like this you can also be drunk! Who cares? Just grrreat

  • 2:02 - he aint drunk, he just sleepin

  • one of the best live blues performances ever,

  • From what year is this video?

  • Comment removed

  • The keyboard player is the great Sidney James Wingfield, who Albert reportedly said was the most talented player he ever played with. Sidney was keyboard player for several years with the legendary Luther Allison. He also had an extended run with Big Twist & The Mellow Fellows, as well as recording with Lurie Bell & Matthew Skoller, among others. He has played with such greats as B.B. King & Mick Jagger. He is one of the hottest live venue players I've ever seen or played with. Works solo now.

  • fuckin yes!!!!

  • THE BEST :)!!!

  • I just noticed Johnny B. wiping his face around 5:57 - playing all left hand. What a man, he's the best!

  • Debbie Davies on rhythm guitar

  • move over srv.

  • @JackGarcia1000 AC was one of SRV's main influences. Listen ... the GRONK on the low E string, melodic stuff, you will hear a lot of Ice Man in SRV's hands and head.

  • God damn, that man has such a presence

  • LOL i would have loved to have been in that crowd

  • who is that kayboard palyer?

  • Why is the whole audience white?

  • @AlexJ1 Because black people don't really go to see live blues and jazz. Fans are almost always white. Unless you are in the deep south

  • Why is Larry Bird playing 2 saxophones?

  • @CoachG1000 because he can. lol. roland kirk did the same thing.

  • @CoachG1000 because he CAN ....

  • @CoachG1000 One is likely a tenor and the other a baritone sax. Great skills!

  • They cut out the part where Albert does 'F*ck you!' after the rest of the talking guitar part.

  • WOW! What performance! Fan-efin-tastic!

  • Great Blues player and a great musician.

  • I never feel more alive than when I'm listening to an AC shuffle!

  • What a showman!!! Huge!!!

  • too many people in that band...the money cuts too thinly when there is that many people

  • @pmay222 unless you're albert collins

  • Look at my uncle, he was great. May he Rest In peace now.

  • A total showman , a great guitarist , a man with a great sense of humour .

  • Four people are Teetotalers.

  • That's one bad-ass band.

  • Iceman Rules!

  • You can get the audio-mp3 of this track at grabtubesnow doht cohm.

  • Albert C is the man!

And Johnny B. Gayden on Bass is the greatest blues bass man in the world. Awesome sound and ability!

  • @bluesmanpaul1 Gayden is my hero too; right up there with James Jamerson & Duck Dunn on my hit parade... of better yet my "Trinity of Bottom".

  • sweeeeeeeeet

  • is that debbie davies playing on the back?

  • @2002mikeredd Yes it is, the little tiny lady with the big Strat. One of the best guitarists in the business, male or female.

  • @elc1960

    HI

    The Lady is Debbie Davies

  • @reneask79 I know. I was answering 2002mikeredd from a couple remarks above mine. Debbie is one hell of a player, and a nice lady as well. Very good sense of humor.

  • I love singin this one

  • that keyboard player is ridiculous! everyone in there is having the time of their LIFE!

  • that keyboard player is ridiculous!

  • The girl ti AC left is Debbie Davies. She is awesome. Check her out.

  • This is poetry for every man that had to drink to cool that bitch off! If you don't know the language I'm speaking, then you ain't no man.

  • if you love the blues...then this is it

  • Happy Birthday Albert, we miss you!

  • Nice Jerri kurls

  • I love Albert...I seen him at Reed College (Portland) ...he came and sat next to me...and played this....

  • @riotofdablood

loooooool. i agree , thumps up

  • @Abadez2010 yeah

  • @riotofdablood I wasn't drinking when I heard it !!!!

  • 2:02 is he sleeping

  • Saw AC in Buffalo. And during this song, he went on his guitar walk through the crowd. Then the man headed for the door, crossed a busy Main Street, and walked into a jazz club directly across the street with his horn section, still playing his ass off. On the way back he stopped in the middle of the street and just wailed away. Traffic backed up for blocks with people dancing in the street. I've never seen so many happy people that night. I still get goose bumps when I think of that night.

  • @LockcityI That is so cool. Buddy guy does the same thing.

  • @LockcityI I wish i could of been there to see my uncle do that.

  • @Mattycnw but you're so high!

  • the original jam bands... the BLUES!

    fucking awesome

  • He's got two saxophones in cause he wants to play the same lick twice. I never planned ahead like that.

  • Jerry Peterson from Billy & The Beaters regularly played two saxaphones!

  • THAT GUYS PLAYING TWO SAXOPHONES

  • haha, that woman's face at 0:56 is just like "I want cock and boooze!" LOL

  • I am all but certain this is from the April 10, 1990 show at Buddy Guy's Legends billed as "Legend's Blues Summit." Buddy, Junior Wells, and Otis Rush also played sets, but I can tell you Albert completely stole the show! He and his band were ON FIRE that night. It was professionally recorded (for some European tv network) but I never saw any recording until now (ironically, 20 Years to the day!) DO YOUHAVE THE REST OF THE SHOW?? PLEASE POST MORE!!

  • Ain't Nuthin But The Blues... That's what Albert Said.... This smokes.... A C you are truly missed..... Sidney Wingfield burning up the keys.....Lucky me I get to play with him every week!!!!!

  • The Iceman is no joke.......That keyboard player was no slouch either

  • I have been sitting on my ass 10 hours today immersed in writing my 3rd book. As i poured my first drink of the evening, this is THE SONG that welled up within me, so much THANKS for posting.

  • Albert Collins is my favorite guitarist ... what a musician! So sad he aint around anymore!

  • F'n fab! I'll look for more!

  • I played this song so many times @ my gigs usually as a closer around the end of the nite. I was " just drinkin'" too, the crowd was drunk! Cheers.....MT

  • Albert was a friend of mine for about the last 18yrs of his life and his Tele was a 1952 model that became the AC signature model by Fender before he passed. It had a humbucker in the neck and a single coil at the bridge with the old (ash tray) cover

  • like the 52 reissue hotrod ?

  • I love the end

  • Orgasmic song!!

  • I agree with Albert about Sid Wingfield. I saw him play several years ago and he was amazing.

  • I love this, can't believe it took me this long to discover the beauty and depth of the blues.

  • After the keyboardist ends his solo and points at Albert to lead him in Albert clearly says good job. 2 saxophones at once, that is unreal. I can't play one! Thank you so much for posting this as I thoroughly enjoyed. Pixannany do you have anything else from this show? thanks again

  • WOW... what an awesome performance!! The keyboardist has got to be the best I have ever heard. This guy is an absolute superstar!! I heard Albert Collins gave an interview saying Sid Wingfield is the most talented musician he had ever played with. Love the blues!!!

  • The ice man cometh.Hey check Debbie Davies. She's the girl playing guitar behind Albert She is awesome.Check her ou on you tube.

  • white folks! exactly, 2 sax a maphines?!

  • Shot-gun saxman blowin' em away!!!

  • AC is so cool :-)

  • i know. it feels really good especially on a hot summers day

  • "What!? Two sax-a-ma-phones!"

    -Homer Simpson-

  • roland kirk started it he played 3 saxes at once check him out hes fucking amazing and he also invented the flute style that greg patillo uses and ptretends its fucking his and he is also the major influence to jethro tull

  • Every person, performer of not, has something funny about them. But man, what a sound!!!

  • He's like- EAT MY TONE!!!

  • I can't get enough of this. Sing those blues Albert sing em.

  • So self-hylarious i can't resist smilin' while can't stop dancin'...that's super!

  • Mr. Collins is THE man!

Anyone who digs real Blues & can make the trek to Buddy Guy's Legends in Chicago needs to do so at some point in their life. What you see in this video is exactly what the place is like and you better get there early to snag a seat or you'll be standing in the back all night.

  • "Man, i aint hiiigh"

  • 2:36 i would have said drunk, hehe

  • lol maybe they had a bit to drink but heyy... there havin' fun :) love it!!! :)
