  • Are there any of the original shows left? I think a long time ago they ran a special on TV and I remember seeing a few minutes of footage of her show. She could scare you one minute and seduce you the next. I'm sorry that her show ran for such a short time because Vampira really had some great stage presence . Very beautiful woman,

  • At exactly 1:00, tell me... doesn't that look like Scarlett Johanssen?

  • I never knew there was a real Vampira . I thought I made the name up . She's the image I had in mine for my Vampira . The mysterious sexy vampire . She's the original and she did it to perfection . Thumbs way up!

  • 18 inch waist! Alluring. Unique. Beautiful. Special.

  • Love!!

  • perfection!

  • The picture shot under the tree with what looks like a cigarette holder reminds me of Norma Desmond.

  • original goth chick! And boy was she gorgeous. Cheekbones, body, attitude, everything. R.I.P.

  • Gustav Holst wrote the music. A most amazing woman. And what a different culture.

  • What a face! Why wasn't she a mega-star? She could have made silent films. She looks very powerful. I'm glad I found out about her through the movie, Ed Wood.

  • Where is this music from?

  • Wow I love her look..that sucks that such beauty must fade with age:(

  • What is the music please someone I have heard it before but where ?/

  • I'm in love...................... what a beauty

  • she reminds me of Joanna Lumley :)

  • OMG - you've chosen my favourite piece of music ever (with the possible exception of Venus) to memorialize one of my favourite women ever!

Thank you so much :) Beautiful...

  • Imagine the utter joy which many of us experienced back in the 1950's when we could watch these late night horror film hosts/hostesses! Many of the big cities had their own "ghouls". I know that it was the highlight of MY week to watch Bestoink Dooley (George Ellis) in Atlanta serve up the horror film classics. But Vampira was but a black and white photo in Famous Monsters or those few fantastic scenesin Plan 9 for most of us.

  • Oh my she was really beautiful, I really don't understand why hollywood never used her in filmes.

  • Unless you actually knew her GLJovani, you are talking out of your as*.

  • Whatever...((

  • someone KNOWS how to serve face !

  • That video was very beautifully done. Thank you.

  • Yes indeed,what a wonderful collection of beautiful photos.Wow !

  • There's something about her, I swear she could find a way to make any photo outstanding, no matter what she looked like.

Even the picture of her standing outside the ABC Television Studio, she just jumps out at you and blows you away with her beauty.

Many generations haven't even heard of her, but most of my friends that have seen footage of her have all reacted the same: "Oh wow, she was absolutely gorgeous..."

  • Magnificent cheekbones!

She'd be the queen of androgyny today.

    Like that Progressive Insurance gal..........

  • She looks just like Christina Ricci in a few of these photos. <3

  • What a true beauty!

I fell utterly in love with Vampira over 50 years ago. She is still beautiful to me!!!

  • Extremely well done tribute, thanks.

  • she freaks me out and that's the point!old times where preety better!may this gorgeous woman rest in peace!vampira forever<3

  • Absolutely true ! Same here ! I don´t know, where my fascination for this woman comes from, ...I mean, concerning this woman, I behave like a teenage-girl at a boy-group-concert, like a newly enamored boy . And all that, because of a "girl" that´s 50 years older than me, and already deceased ... strange phenomenon.

  • I know what you mean!

  • music from Holt's "The Planets"......

Not sure which planet song this one is but I think it is neptune....

  • that the music playing?

  • simply divine

  • Although I like the gothic-look, my favourite pictures are the two from 0:20 - 0:35 , which are showing her in another - for her untypical- style. Timeless beauty. One of the most attractive women of the 20th century ! Wow !

  • hottttttttttttttt

  • VAMPIRA IS SO BEAUTIFUL

may she rest in piece .

  • a beautiful woman,very garbo-esque in her early shots
