take a lighter to the gpu and get it to around 200f and let it cool on its own remember it will heat up fast so be careful take a digital laser thermostat and get close to 200 degrees by doing this your taking the moisture out of the gpu and thats what is cosing the glichis then clean the gpu with 99.9% alcohol be careful then let dry for 2 day to make shure its dry then put bac to gether and put in pc
Can someone help me? My computer crashed awhile ago, and a few months after that I finally got the courage to play my games on it again. I got the video card to play the games (mainly DoW2/CoH), but for some reason all the graphics on the game are set to low/medium, but before the crash it was able to set alot better than that. Whats going on? Is the VC damaged? I know not completely damaged, I can still play the games (couldnt before I got it), but now its just not as good. Please reply, thnx!
I had to send my card back to Dell and they replaced it. I think there was a memory error on the card itself so it wasn't working properly. I ran some tests after I got the new one and there were no memory errors. You might have to make sure your card is not overheating and that there are no errors.
That looks like a possible driver issue, Its not a texture issue seeing as your card sometimes can properly display the entire image.Maybe a Glitch with the driver and how it exectutes a particular shader sequence which drivers and patches usually fix. Also your GPU could be overheating and your card is doing what is known as "artifacting" where it displays static and random quirks in the image. Try to DL a GPU temp program to monitor the GPU Temps and clear ALL* FANS and HEATSINKS* of dust.
idk if this will help anyone but i have the same problem right now.. and if you're like me (dell warrenty is up and can't afford a new card) then download RivaTuner and turn down the clock speed on the GPU and GPU memory.. and also turn the fan speed up to like 35-45%.. it's all an overheating problem caused by bad memory but it can still be avoided if you're broke like me lol
a part of ur graphica card or ur memory is burned upp, call dell and tell them to send a new computer of u still have thw warranty, and also make sure u have a good cooling system
try downloading a latest driver, it used to happen to me whilst i was in a aircraft in 2142, i then upgraded from an ATI radeon x600 to an nVidia 8600GT, then when i played the whole screen turns very bright yellow, its some sort of driver problem that hopefully will be resolved in a future driver update, but with the 8 series cards you set everything to high but keep dynamic lighting on low and it should resolve it.
i got the same problem like you i also dont know whats wrong with the card i think the only thing you could do is change the card... many other people have the same problem
For Dell PC's, I booted into the utility partition and did some video card tests. Everything passes except for when it comes to testing the video memory. I received a replacement card from Dell, and it seems to work properly now. I'll have to do a bit more tests to find out thoroughly.
I have that same video card. I play BF2142 but I've never experienced any of those problems. Don't now of any problems that the 7900gs has with games either. All I can suggest is to update your drivers. If that doesn't work, then call the manufacturer.
Fuck DELL and fuck this card. Buy a new PC ;)

I don't know how to fix it exactly. I had to send mine back to Dell and get a replacement.
Make sure your card is not overheating and that it gets a good air flow. If you overclock the card too much, this can also happen.

Theres 3 things: 1. Your card is over clocked too high.
2. Your card is overheating (Due to room temprature or cooling in your PC/Card 3. You need a better power supply (500w recommended)

Card is default, nothing is touched.
GPU temps show 45-50 degrees Celsius.
PSU is 650 W

What OS you running on?
You should try contacting Nvidia about the problem.

the problem you are experiencing is known as artifacting and its either from overheating or possibly not enough power to the video card
