As a photographer, you will notice that when it goes out of focus, we do not see her mouth shut, do we? Only her eyes. So which leads me to think that this is either real or something weird is going on.

They are built as reminders and as things that we can venerate in honor of who the statue is of. It's no different with the Crucifix. I kneel before a crucifix and pray every day. I'm not worshiping the crucifix, I'm venerating it in honor of Jesus' death and resurrection. Hope this helps clear that up. Pope Pius X has a great catechism if you'd like to verify...

The bodies of saints who've been dead for hundreds of years but appear as if they just died is one, the Shroud of Turin is one, the Cloth of Our Lady of Guadeloupe is another, it goes on and on! Things like statues opening and closing their eyes is something I would want to see in person to believe, but these other things are too old and "too impossible" to fake so I believe them. Regards!

They are built as reminders and as things that we can venerate in honor of who the statue is of. It's no different with the Crucifix. I kneel before a crucifix and pray every day. I'm not worshiping the crucifix, I'm venerating it in honor of Jesus' death and resurrection. Hope this helps clear that up. Pope Pius X has a great catechism if you'd like to verify...

Dr. Zugibe is a world renown forensic scientist

@PatrickSmithPhD O, I'm not doubting the authenticity of ALL religious artifacts, even though I'm not a religious person, I'd like to think their are some mysteries out there that are true miracles. Like the shroud of Turin for instance, I saw the real face of Jesus, that to me was pretty awesome. All I'm saying is that people need to not let these things influence their better judgement. Just appreciate stuff for what it is, and leave it like that. =D

@decideforyourself1 - There definitely are miracles that defy our understanding of the material world. The bodies of saints who've been dead for hundreds of years but appear as if they just died is one, the Shroud of Turin is one, the Cloth of Our Lady of Guadeloupe is another, it goes on and on! Things like statues opening and closing their eyes is something I would want to see in person to believe, but these other things are too old and "too impossible" to fake so I believe them. Regards!

Thats because when the lens goes out of focus, it causes an optical illusion, making the eyes become distorted. Guys, notice that while the eyes are closing. At the top of the eye, it fills the gap between the top eye-socket and the Eye Lid itself. And when she opens her eyes, the gap appears between her eye-socket and eye lid appears again. I know this is inspiring to all of you, but someone placed a series of mechanical parts in order to make the eyes look like they are moving. Sorry guys. :(
