let's face it - we've all seen a hot person from every race and i think it's important to note that. i think part of the problem also belongs to language - for eg. almond eyes vs monolid...one sounds more favourable. i prefer the term "innie" :)

good tip, double lids are formed when your eyelashes are curved and longggggg, where as asians have stiff, short, straight, lashes :0 you dont need false lashes, just get a really good curler, heat it, and curl your lashes perfectly, and put on mascara, which should encourage the double lid :)

Naturally, everyone wants something improved. for me, its longer prettier lashes.

When i crease mine, i can actually see better.. the eye is more open!

especially if my eyes are puffy in the morning. I doesnt matter to me if people of chinese/japanese/thai ethnicity want to create doublelids.

@orangesparkle22 except there is a difference with the self hate that is experienced within each group. Many Asian Americans have grown to dislike their features because they have been told that they are not beautiful and self hate is involved.

While some white people may experience self hate because they feel too light, I would argue it isn't to the extent of self hate I have seen of people close to me.

The purpose of her video was to teach those who have single eyelids, a way to create double eyelids. Why did you bother to search up this video, or even bother to look at it if your eyes are not meant to be like that? You obviously viewed this video for tips of some sort relating to this video. also i noticed you used two liners? i'm nto sure if that's really necessary. what i normally do is liner first (i used to use BB gel liner too), then eyeshadow (or the other way around, doesn't matter, depends on if you want the liner to be prominent or not) and get everything done, then fake lashes. that way you don't risk ripping it off/loosening the glue in the process of putting on the makeup. thanks for the vid anyway!

actually as side note, i think drawing the line twice is necessary. probably don't need to use two different kinds of liner, but the second application is probably good to cover up the place where you glued the lashes. i dind't realize because the first pair of falsies i had got such thin band that i totally didn't notice lol

yeah i noticed that when i use fake eyelashes, it actually just automatically forces the double eyelid. i think it's probably due to the stiffness of the glue/lash strip. i would acutally suggest putting your eye makeup on first (liner, shadow, whatever) and THEN finally put on the false eyelashes as a final step. easier that way, less likely to mess up

it should stick quite well regardless if you have makeup on before or after you glue it on. how well it stick has more to do with your glue and possibly the eyelashes themselves. I used LashGrip Waterproof the other day, and it was quite strong. if you used a not as good adhesive, it probably would fall off faster. i used lashgrip, and it lasted me all afternoon+all night of clubbing (and ton of sweating). i would think more likely to rip it off during makeup app if you put it on before hand

so far it worked fine for me (makeup first then the falsies). i haven't had anything fall off on me yet, and actually at end of the day i had to really pull to get it off ^^;; if you're especially worried try this:

put a line of glue on falsies and apply, then pull it off, reapply more glue on the falsies, and then apply again after glue becomes tacky. you'll notice that first time the glue's not tacky so it slides around, but second time it'll be VERY sticky.

i don't mean that certain glue or falsies are more stiff than others, more that ANY glue/falsies are stiffer than not having anything on your eyelid. the skin of your eyelid obvously is not used to having anything there, so to compensate, the skin essentially "gives" and forms the crease, which is AWESOME

When the eyelash adhesive hardens it automatically creates a "push up" affect on the lid, for that crease. So it works well if you've got thin eyelids. As in ones that are not too puffy. Try flicking your lid upwards a bit.

some people have thin eyelids and the falsies support the eyelid and helps fold it over. Others, who have thick "fatty" eyelids cannot just use falsies.

i'm using warm water to wet the puff,then put it on my eyelid for seconds,til the false lashes are ready to come off.some girls're using remover,it also works very well.but remember dont tear them off,it'll loose your eyelids and cause wrinkles .hope it's helpful ^ ^

yeah ,if you do it everyday,you'll definitely double your eyelids for at least a while,a friend of mine become forever double-eyelids through this way,but for me,i'm a little bit allergic to the adhesive,so if i continue using that ,my eye will feel uncomfortable.
