I would have thought that anyone but the "stupid living room pilot" would have noticed that in the title I mentioned that this video includes a spot view, a view specific to flight simulator 2004 and FSX. Putting your camera up to the window during takeoff takes less skill. By the way, I hold my PPL and instrument rating. Have a nice day!

a 1.6 will seriously hurt your fs9 experience. i have a 2.8 ghz dual core with 2 gigs ram and a dedicated 4670 video card and it runs fine. FSX is a memory hog and i don't plan to use it.

you wont believe what upgrading the ram will do to your frames ...its pretty inexpensive too

yea i was considering upgrading, but i hope my parents will buy me a new computer for Christmas, vista with 4 gb ram, a 250mb graphics card, 2.5ghz processor (dual core) 500gb hard drive (7200rpm) (the one i have now is 5400) i think it might work good with fsx? what do you think?

And I'm sorry, but that's not good enough for FSX. I have vista with 4GB RAM, 2.2ghz processor (Quad core), 1280 gb hard drive and 1024 mb graphics card and even that is not good enough for FSX.

that is FINE for fsx. I run fsx quite well with this setup (maxed out graphics) and I have a dual core and 3 gigs of ram.

once you get your new computer, it fps will not worry you. I had the exact same computer running at about 10-15 fps without aa, now i get 25-30 with aa.

AA is anti aliasing, it attempts to get rid of those horrid lines that appear with diagonal lines, and yes it takes up A TON of resources.
