His harmonics are so crisp! Everything about that solo was killer. I have seen them live with Ben, and I saw them live just the other day and I will tell you, they are not quite the same. The new guitarist is really good, but he missed some key things that Ben would have nailed. Awesome solo!

All you haters out there must be into those "how many notes can you fit into a sec" type bands......Yeah. That's real talent. Artists that can do do that type of soloing DO NOT impress people. Ben Kasica and I had the opportunity to talk about his style at a show we did in Tampa. He has a classical background, which is VERY DIFFICULT to master. So incorporating classical into what is Skillet, IS impressive. Soul, people. That is what makes a solo worth listening to.

Agreed, Mark Tremonti is insane. When it comes to technique and pure skill, he's definitely within the top 5 or so modern rock guitarists. He's the reason why I started playing guitar back 9 years ago.

As for Ben, he's good but he's got nothing on Tremonti.

Oh yea man. If I was half as good as Tremonti, I'd be satisfied with my playing. Tremonti practices about 6 hours a day, everyday. Did you ever happen to see his guitar dvd? There's a lot of good stuff on there.

Yea, no wonder why Tremonti has improved so much since his 2001. The dvd is awesome. Tremonti shows how to play all of the solos from Alter Bridge's "Blackbird" album along with tons of different exercises he uses to improve his playing.

Yea, a PRS SE Singlecut. I plan on getting a Tremonti model one day but can't afford one yet. My primary guitar though, is a Schecter S-1 Elite.

Yea, that's true. I had thought about putting Tremonti's in my SE Singlecut. I will get a Tremonti one day, but I think the next guitar I may get will be a Schecter Synyster Custom (I like Synyster Gates' guitar and it's a lot cheaper than a Tremonti). The Tremonti will have to wait until I can afford one.
