i think chris means, how long wud it take You as yourself to convert it, where as, posting it takes 5 minutes, and then reciving is 5 minutes. You can do what you want while you wait, so your not loosing money then. The site it great
Sorry, just, one additional thing as someone who actually did check out their service... the people who mail their media to pixorial have had their media sitting in their closet for years... so I'm pretty sure the 3 or so days it takes to mail to them isnt a concern... also, once its digitized, you can do what ever you want on their site, so why are you considering their ship back time? Try using the service before making a video comment.
Also might I add... they offer self ship kits, which means you don't have to wait for and "envelope" as you call it. You can grab any box from your house if you want, including that old antec computer case box of yours and stuff it full of your media and send it on in and they will take care of it. The computer savvy I will agree may not want this service... but don't forget most people don't have the knowledge to do what they do. Just an fyi, they send a strong box not a paper envelope.
It looks like they do more than just convert video though. You just pay for the conversion and they archive all your movies for free. Plus you get 10GB of uploads for free and 25 bucks gets you unlimited uploads, storage and access to all services. One more additional perk is the fact that you can share video and just send it to who you want instead of having everyone on youtube able to watch your personal videos. I think its a pretty good deal if you take all the services into account
Yea, a lot of people, including my self, dont even really use it for their conversions. I thought their screening room was neat. I was able to upload a video, edit it on their site, and then share it on my facebook wall using their cool screening room product and I never paid a dime.
