Awesome video! How many MTI Racing Stage Packages do they have out there? Anyone know? And what does it include besides a cam upgrade? Thank you. Vette on!
I wouldn't think it would have any effect. Basicly the switch just allows the butterfly valves to stay opened. They regularly open on the car once you peak 3500 or so RPM although I have heard it can vary.
I am ordering a new 08 and am not sure if i should get it with NPP exhaust or do an aftermarket set up..Are Headers a must?? i bet i know the answer to that, but i not sure how easy that is, and if it screws up my warranty..
Well I had an 07 before the 08 and I would tell you for the difference in money I would go with the NPP. With the valves closed it is very quiet but once you hit 3500 to 4000 rpm when those valves open it sounds badass. Having the switch isn't mandatory its just nice when you want the sound on all the time.
Also headers aren't a must unless you are wanting them. I didn't have them on the 07 but figured what the heck with the NPP it is nice. Because with headers with the valves closed the exhaust is still very quiet but once you open it up its racecar loud heh. Far as warranty some dealers will void stuff with headers some won't it just depends on how mod friendly your dealership is. If installed right you shouldn't ever have any issues anyway.
I have a Mild2Wild switch that I use but they make a few different ones, some of them you can adjust the RPM range when the valves open etc. The one I have is just on and off. You also can just remove the fuse if you want the valves open all of the time.
well thanks for all the info..i have been checking out the switches online and there are some cool remote wild to mild switches out there..i love the sound of the headers and i might do that if i want more sound..I'm going with the NPP.. captians choice is so sweet..
