It's not a put down, it's simply fact! Also, please don't call me sweetheart as I'm old enough to be your father! Although you likely don't see it now but there's a very good chance that you will alter much of your world view by the time you hit my age!
I know a number of people who embraced christianity as you do, but as the aged they started to mellow out regarding their religious views! I can only hope you do the same!
