the movie is based in 1953 in an alternate reality where Germany didnt lose world war 2 , that explains the newer weapons.

Almost no budget my *ss... Looks good though, but something is really messed up with the muzzle flash at 0:10, there's a dragon's teeth there, and the flash is in front of it, while it shouldnt. 0:13 same thing... And is that a AK47 at 0:28? Your effects LOOK good, but they are made awfully... I would not like to get FX lessons from you, no offense...

You have a good set of gear, nice camera actions, but please work on the effects...

L3w1s4ndCl4rK- good eye balls! I have re-worked every shell casing since this teaser. All of them are darker, move quicker, don't float and have a different angle of ejection. Your right, they are ugly here.

I used particle illusion for the shell casings. You do have to match up the First frame of every new shell but not motion tracking each shell's trajectory. I need to make a tut for that.

yup yup 1947. This film is set after wwii, there will be a huge note of it in the trailer.

A5runner, I know on your website you said you didn't have to do MotTrack with the spent casings, but on the first scene with the MG42 runner, I can clearly see two spent casings flying way out of where I think they should've been. I don't know, maybe you meant to do that? I'm not sure, but it looks like MotTrack would be necessary in that case.

Here is the skimmy: WWII ends without Germany losing (or winning), now America is in a "cold war" with them and Russia. Then lots of people die, boom boom, roll credits. :)

Why did we do this might be your next question: I just couldn't afford to do an authentic WWII film, so we made up something.

Like I said in my PM, try using VIMEO if you put it online (WHICH YOU SHOULD!). It allows HD and up to 500mb a week. You could easily fit it on in high quality so people can see the effects and what not in their full glory

Cool but AK was created long after WW2

Its an alternative history to WW2. So I think what we saw was the ruskies VS the jerries. So the ruskie was shooting an AK47 witch was a later connotation and the jerry had a G3 witch was a latter version of the STG44. The MG42 however would be hard to replace. Hell the M60 is basically a copy of it and its still in use in a only slightly modified version to this day.

Your spot on aylmer666, we couldn't afford to do a historically correct film. So we are doing a post wwii scenario if Germany was in the "cold war" with Russia and America. Maybe it is a bit too much to do in a short, but its interesting. :)

FXIllusion, thank you for checking out the website. So far the only particles in the this teaser are the shell casings. The stock footage is from detonationfilms, the explosions are from the Collections_HD_HDBR_Chroma disc, they are on his HD page.
