Not a 'classical' fan I was surprised at this delivery and am getting more interested in all his singin'.  He is not claiming the Pavoratti genre' and doesn't try but open it to the more demanding public and opening door. Thank him!! eh is aware of the presentation, the songs and wants to share these with us......Stick to your Pavoratti, etc --that man's voice never was demanding (to me) and leave Mr. Watson to the general public who will pay for his appearances touching the earth.

Not everyone has to sing an operatic song in a totally opera style, he has his own style and following. I've heard some opera singers try to sing regular songs, awful. Russell also sings the theme song to Enterprise Faith of the Heart (and before all the Rod Stewart fans start - Rod recording the theme song version for the Patch Adams movie). He's a great singer in his own style, and I think he was smart to pic what is not typically popular with young people, but what suits his voice more.
