Normally I hate music videos because they're boring, worthless and without meanings. But this video, it's the opposite of everything I thought music videos stands for: Consumption, sexism, megalomania, "I' have loads of money" etc.
But I love this video because it represent everything I stand and fight for as a human being, and what I want other people to be aware of and take actions for.
And in my dreams Nickelback donates all the money (the song brings in) to charity.
@Lilasko Garth Brooks (I know hes considered country but just listen to it) has a similiar song released in the nineties. Its called "we shall be free" you should give it a listen, and a watch, the video has some really great footage
The Bridge Community Church in Decatur, Indiana, is going to three different schools. Bellmont Middle School, Adams Central Middle School, and South Adams Middle School to persaude the students who attend those three schools and who also attend the Bridge Community Church to help us with our fundraiser for sex exploited girls in differnent countries who really need our help. But most of the homeless people in america have signs that they need food and water yet in the fine print under those terms is "need money bless you" which doesnt make sense, they want food+water yet they want money? thats becaue they go out and buy alcohol, and drugs with the money people give them. There are plenty of programs for homeless/hungry folks, in USA.

@chaoszieg I made my own opinion on Nb years ago on my own. Used to like them but I started to listening to other artists. I don't care if people like them, but people keep commenting that "no other band puts meanings like this in their lyrics" and "no one else writes great lyrics with meaning anymore." Just makes me wonder how much people actually listen to music. Nb isn't the first and their certainly not the best at making songs "with meaning." But that's my opinion, and those are subjective.

@videomaker77898 Lol Yeah sure I don't care about people because I don't like the same music you do, that just makes perfect sense *sarcasm*. So what if I feel Nb has lost it over the years. And there are much more meaningful songs out there (John Lennon's "Imagine" for starters). Critics know that Nb is a very cliche band anyway. And I'm not judging the message, I'm judging the song itself. The message has nothing to do with the quality of a song. Don't judge other people's opinions though.

The cliche argument is a very bad one because it can be used against everything, even John Lennon. when the music industry is pumping out 10,000's or even 100,000's of songs a year, everything is cliche.
Who cares about what critics say either? I prefer to think for myself, and critics are always full of shit anyway, either about the quality, or the reasons they give.

@chaoszieg I made my own opinion on Nb years ago on my own. Used to like them but I started to listening to other artists. I don't care if people like them, but people keep commenting that "no other band puts meanings like this in their lyrics" and "no one else writes great lyrics with meaning anymore." Just makes me wonder how much people actually listen to music. Nb isn't the first and their certainly not the best at making songs "with meaning." But that's my opinion, and those are subjective.
