Okay i have a question, one of my friends who i think is over exaggerated completely, but he said that. Not having power steering is awful, is it really that awful?
my friends dad has a 65 mustang cylinder straight, mach 1, and convertable v8 he said he got em for two grand a piece back in seatle in the 60's how much did you get ur mustang for??
how much did the rebuild cost you? and is it worth the money if the engine is good in the first place? im thinking of putting a 2 barrel and dual exhaust in mine. if i do, im putting two cherry bombs on it too.
cost depends on the place and the work. its worth it if you bore it out. 2 barrel is good, nothing beyond that. these can't handle much over a 350 cfm carb. good luck
thanks, yeah unfortunately my camera broke so i can't really make any more videos till i decide to buy another one. thats why i haven't uploaded anything in like a year
Thanks for the reply, I'm not doing the rebuild and boring and just hoping to see improvement from the headers and piping. So it sounds like I'll be able to tell a difference?
Sounds very nice. I'm doing the Clifford headers with dual exhaust on my 66 200 next month. I'm wondering if you can tell me if the power increase is something you really notice, or is it mostly just for the sound? Thanks
grease is a quick fix, but it won't last, esspecially if its cold where you live. but grease up the tension points and it won't squeek.
yea the 3 would be pretty incompetent with the 289. but unless you're planning on beefin it up a bit, a T-5 might be a bit overkill. but who says thats a bad thing lol T-5's are nice, and a pretty workable swap with the 289 too.
Yup mostly original, the last owner put some GT accesories on there, but other than that it is pretty original. Click to my profile to see a picture of it in the background. I am thinking about a T-5 swap because the three speed is just so short...

wow sounds pretty good
You should make a video from outside the car so people can get a better idea of what it sounds like.

Hey NorCalKarting,

honestly, i noticed a bigger power gain from the headers and 2 1/4 piping than i did when i rebuilt the bottom end of the motor and bored it out .030

haha my clutch makes the same exact squeaking noise, but I have a 1968 289 3-speed convertible. Nice car man

lol doesn't it suck!
sounds like you got a nice one too. how's the 3 speed with the 289 though? can't be original is it?

Yeah totally, do you know any quick fix for it?
