@spilknoob First off, nothing was "ripped" during the process. It was cut in half with a scalpel. If you can't think of any reasons as to why I'd do this, I believe my girlfriend could give one or two reasons as to why she likes me having two tongues.

I understand it might look "strange" but its really not that insane compared to other forms of body modification.

Two tongues are at least twice, if not more, better than one. :)

@AlxSnowxMatchsxRule Just give it some time. After its not swollen and completely healed is when you should start trying to do tricks. It was months or possibly a year healed when I posted this. You'll get there, just make sure you give yourself time to heal. :)

when i first got it done, yeah, it hurt. I made a video called "The story of my split tongue" where i talk all about the process and my journey from tongue piercing to finished tongue split.

and for others, i hear my tongue split feels pretty good. it doesn't hurt them at all! :)

And actually, you can. There has been 1 or 2 documented cases of a tongue split reversal. The only one I know of for sure is a guy who joined the military and they forced him to sew it back. so it wasn't something that the person actually wanted to do, they had to.

So there you go, out of the thousands or hundreds of thousands of people who have a split tongue, virtually none of them would ever go back.

if you are worried about the pain, you're not ready. :)

but really the pain, yes, it hurts, but its only for a little bit. you'll get over it. you'll survive. if you really want it, the pain isn't anything you'll think about.  you have probably already endured more pain than you'll encouter during a tongue split.

Oh i have no problems tasting anything. taste buds cover most of your tongue, so splitting it doesn't kill enough to make a difference. no problems of any kind, actually. its only improved everything. :)

got to be fair it is pretty cool. when i had my tongue pierced they were worried about the veins n that so i couldnt have it done dead in the center. so how did do they manage to split it cos there are loads of veins in ya tongue?

well, you cut through them. there are minor and a few bigger veins that you cut through when you have the procedure done. and you bleed. A LOT. but after about a half hour of replacing gauze in your wound, the bleeding dies down and after a few days you don't have any bleeding at all. its not as bad as one would think. im glad i did it. its one of the best decisions i've ever made in my life.

it can be cut a variety of different ways: a laser, a heated up blade (cautery pen) or a scalpel (sharp knife). mine was done with a scalpel. and why would i want to? psh. why WOULDN'T i want to? im not afraid of a blade. also i can move each piece on its own and my girlfriend LOVES IT. i'll let you imagine how and why she would love it. HAHA!

To educate some of the viewers. Tongue spliting isn't necessarily permanent. As a matter of fact, re-mending the tongue isn't very complicated and very possible in most cases.

to my knowledge, a tongue split reversal has only been performed once, because the guy was in the military and they forced him to. anyways, he lost most mobility in his tongue, and lost his taste. When getting your tongue split, it should not be considered unless you are absoulutly positive that your not going to regret it

it really wasn't all that bad. i might have a high threshold for pain, but the only part that really hurt was when it cut the very tip. other than that, it hurt only a little more than a tongue piercing.
