Man I miss tv shows of the 90's. Wishes they could of kept the O' Connell brothers the show might have lasted longer. The last season was okay just wasnt the same without them. Wishes they would of made a Sliders The Movie Reunion or something. And Kari Wuhrer was and still is hot.
Yeah a new sliders would be cool but It wouldn't be the same without the 4 main cast Professor, Quinn, Wayde and Remy needs to be the exact same cast or a new sliders wouldn't work. Thumbs up bring the cast back! They aren't old but hurry before its too late nobody stays young or lives forever.

It's a shame later seasons went in the wrong direction. For instance, I thought a bit too much emphasis was placed on the backstory with the Maggs. It added a bit of depth to the show and it evolved nicely but it needed to end. Not to mention the backstory actually became more interesting than the central theme. For me, episodes began to seem more like a chore. Cast changes also hurt the show. Season one's cast was by far the strongest.

@maxcardun Well, Peckinpah has passed away so that wouldn't be a factor in a new show. While it's sad that he died, I do blame him for the decline of the show starting in Season 3.

Sliders Final Episode Plot: Wade and Quinn are on a Kromagg isolation world, alone, when a vortex opens in front of them and Professor Arturo slides through, landing with his usual "Blistering idiot!" at a prickly bush he deposits onto. Wade and Quinn are stunned. Arturo says: "So you thought that impostor was me!? It took me nearly a decade to discover how to reproduce this little device ( timer ) and track you down. Proton trails are unique for each world. Mine matched yours..Eh Voila."
sliders-the next generation. a TV movie which ends the battle with the Kromaggs and opens up a new story that goes back to how the first and second season was relating to physics, science and humanity.

I sooo wish this was real!!!! Sliders began to flop when Sabrina left, then took a nose dive when the professor died. When Jerry leaving did nothing. Not because he wasn't the best character, but there was simply no further to go from there.

Agreed to the max. They really screwed the show up by firing people due to personal reasons, the professor, wade, the O Connell brothers were partially to blame for not being in season 5 though, Jerry really power tripped

IMO, the show really went to hell in season 3 with the firing of John Rhys Davies. He brought class to the show. Never liked Maggie and still don't after all these years, especially with how Kari Wuhrer treated Sabrina Lloyd.
He left the show because he only wanted to do 6 episodes, and be executive producer. They agreed, but his brother was only going to do 6 episodes as well, he wanted his brother to do the whole season, but they didn't agree and so they went separate ways. I think the show being so popular got to Jerry's head. He should have done it for the fans
@alucard624 Jerry left the show because they wouldn't give him something he wanted, and without him there was no reason to let his brother stay. When Davies left, as I understand it, it was because he asked to leave, not because he got fired. Come on, get your facts right. And just how are you claiming Kari treated Sabrina?
@hakavon From what has been said by crew and cast, Kari made some disparaging remarks about Sabrina and another crew member she was engaged to. That, and the fact that Peckinpah thought it was "funny" to put her character in a Kromagg breeding camp was what just killed the show for me. And there are conflicting reports on whether Davies quit or was fired. I'm not sure if he himself has stated which is fact or not but it's a moot point now as the show went downhill after he left.
Im writing my own season 3 to sliders if anyone is interested in reading it. Im just starting so not much is done yet but if you want to read any of it let me know, im making a video giving short summarys of what each episode will be like.
Sliders was my favorite show ever.. Too bad they ditched Wayde for the slutty marine bitch, Collin was cool but WTF was the deal with season 5, you can't just ditch half the cast and try to go on like nothing happened.. Seasons 1&2 were awesome, but soon after that I started calling it "The chase the lost timer" show, as it lost a lot of creativity over time.
the way malory says slide sounds corny...maggie and wade could both get their muffs rammed....rembrant should of said fuck my homeworld with kromaggs and stayed on one of the cool worlds..and in the beginning of the 5th season once they found out that crazy scientist combined quinn and mallory..they shoulda tourtured the hell out of him to put them back..but no they slide out and i remember maggie left the guns behind? WTF..why always drop the guns when you slide...
Even if the original actors are older, I think they still can do it and do the acting with out to much problems. It just would be really great to see the whole sliders team back in action, at least bring back Jerry O' Connell & Charlie O'Connel & Cleavant Derricks & John Rys Davis back & maggie. I can't believe they ended the last episode season 5 the way they did. We will never know what really happened to remi,,, Cleavant Derricks. And if anyone seen season 5 first episode The unstuck man, the beginning where they was shooting and just before they entered the vortex the two people you say as Quin and Collin well that was not them. You could see where Quin says GO GO and waved his hand but did not turn his head. But I wish they really would come out with a season six.
if you look hard enough, you can actually find the scripts for season 6 online. they wrote most of it, it just never made it to prodution.

I had always always always hoped Quinn and Wade would hook up. Then along came Maggie and the sexual tension was on. I liked the idea that Wade was smart. And she and Quinn were best friends. It took me a while to buy into Maggie. And poor Collin. He was just pure, unadulterted, beefy, sexy eye candy for me. I loved that dude.
Sliders was an awesome show filled with a lot of action, comdedy, and romance. The first 3 seasons were great and even a little into season 4. Once Quinn became fused with Mallory and once Collin became unstuck it went downhill from there. I was mad that they killed off the Professor and I was mad that they killed off Wade. But when they killed off Quinn the one who inventing the sliding machine that just ticked me off. Killing off him ruined the whole show.

But he was one of my fav characters next to Quinn and Remy so it made me sad to see them leave. But still, if they wanted to end the show so bad, it should have been Quinn finding a way to get them all home. Not the crappy season finale like they had with Remy jumping into the vortex and us not knowing if he lived through it or not.
I remember reading somewhere that there was tension between Sabrina Lloyd (Wade) and Kari Wuhrer (Maggie). Lloyd basically told the producers, it's her or me, and the producers basically said, bye-bye. That's why they killed off Wade, alas....

But SLIDERS was definetly my first obession show. (Well second if you count when I was 7 years old and fell in love with Voltron.)

I'll have to look for Season 4 - been wanting that (some good shows still that season); other than that - I would LOVE to see the original cast resurected with whatever explanation they come up with. I'm only sorry the movie never took off - like the X-Files, Sliders was planning a big-screen version.
Professor Arturo was the best he was so funny he made the show fun to watch. Quinn was also good in fact the original members was the best when they all left it wasn't the same.

I agree w/many - the original show on Fox was best - the original cast had interesting story lines. Once it was taken over by Sci-Fi, they added Maggie (ugh), changed the focus from the science to chasing the kromags...I started loosing interest when Sabrina and John left the show - but, when they made Quinn and his brother "aliens," I was out. I didn't even bother watching it after the O'Connell brothers left the show. I, too, bought seasons 1 -3 on DVD, and enjoy them.
Quinn and his brothers were...what??? I've been watching S1 and S2 of Sliders (though I remember the episodes from a long time ago) and I love the show. I read that Arturo died (cries) and Wade wasn't in it anymore (cries some more) but Quinn had a...brother...and they were aliens? That's ridiculous! Ugh. I think I'll just watch to the middle of S3...that's when everyone seems to think it went bad.
Unfortunately, when Sci-Fi channel took it over, they focused more on the Kromags story (not that interesting), and really moved away from the physics and science and made it into an action show - with weak stories; the brothers as Aliens...
Yep. It went really bad after Arturo dies. It ruined the whoe because he was the best character. Kari Wuhrer could never replace him. Such a shame they ruined Sliders.
@dungeonofperil Oh I so agree with you about Arturo. He was one of the best characters. I just loved his personality, how he was funny without trying to be funny. I wasn't a big fan of Maggie either. I thought Wade was better. I mean sure Maggie was alright but you're right she could never replace the Professor. Arturo and Quinn for me came in a close tie for first place for fav characters, next came Remy, then Wade, then Colin, and finally Maggie. Mallory and Diana didn't happen lol.

Too much time has passed for there to be a sixth season. I'd rather have a reboot of the series. There's still so much untapped potential in the concept to let it go.
I rememeber watching it on tv when i was younger, And i decided to by 1 2 and the third series was enjoying em all ALOT i must add, But soon as Arturo died i lost interest, For me it was like a chunk of the series was missing, And as for the forth i don't even think it's worth watching...

the ending should be a happy one as quin finally reunites with her mother, and vows never to slide again. that every is reunited. there is no need for more seasons. third time is a lucky charm.
i reckom it should only be 3 seasons. the last episode, they should all return home. the last episode should be an emotional ending to sliders trilogy. all the characters like wade arturo, quin, and remmy, should go back to what they were doing from the begining, before the could slide and leave the original earth behind them. i reckon that would be an impressive ending. they would still keep in touch. however the timer is stored away in mallory's basement for preservation.

Quinn (Jerry Oconnel), Arturo, Remmy and Wade were the cast that made the show worth watching. maybe one day somebody will wake up, relize that and bring this show back on the air. I miss watching new episodes, it was the best show on TV seasons 1-3.

I sooo wish this was real!!!! Sliders began to flop when Sabrina left, then took a nose dive when the professor died. When Jerry leaving did nothing. Not because he wasn't the best character, but there was simply no further to go from there.

IMO, the show really went to hell in season 3 with the firing of John Rhys Davies. He brought class to the show. Never liked Maggie and still don't after all these years, especially with how Kari Wuhrer treated Sabrina Lloyd.

They agreed, but his brother was only going to do 6 episodes as well, he wanted his brother to do the whole season, but they didn't agree and so they went separate ways. I think the show being so popular got to Jerry's head. He should have done it for the fans

@hakavon From what has been said by crew and cast, Kari made some disparaging remarks about Sabrina and another crew member she was engaged to. That, and the fact that Peckinpah thought it was "funny" to put her character in a Kromagg breeding camp was what just killed the show for me. And there are conflicting reports on whether Davies quit or was fired. I'm not sure if he himself has stated which is fact or not but it's a moot point now as the show went downhill after he left.

Too bad they ditched Wayde for the slutty marine bitch, Collin was cool but WTF was the deal with season 5, you can't just ditch half the cast and try to go on like nothing happened.. Seasons 1&2 were awesome, but soon after that I started calling it "The chase the lost timer" show, as it lost a lot of creativity over time.

I can't believe they ended the last episode season 5 the way they did. We will never know what really happened to remi,,, Cleavant Derricks. And if anyone seen season 5 first episode The unstuck man, the beginning where they was shooting and just before they entered the vortex the two people you say as Quin and Collin well that was not them. You could see where Quin says GO GO and waved his hand but did not turn his head. But I wish they really would come out with a season six.

I had always always always hoped Quinn and Wade would hook up. Then along came Maggie and the sexual tension was on. I liked the idea that Wade was smart. And she and Quinn were best friends. It took me a while to buy into Maggie. And poor Collin. He was just pure, unadulterted, beefy, sexy eye candy for me. I loved that dude.

Sliders was an awesome show filled with a lot of action, comdedy, and romance. The first 3 seasons were great and even a little into season 4. Once Quinn became fused with Mallory and once Collin became unstuck it went downhill from there. I was mad that they killed off the Professor and I was mad that they killed off Wade. But when they killed off Quinn the one who inventing the sliding machine that just ticked me off. Killing off him ruined the whole show.

But he was one of my fav characters next to Quinn and Remy so it made me sad to see them leave. But still, if they wanted to end the show so bad, it should have been Quinn finding a way to get them all home. Not the crappy season finale like they had with Remy jumping into the vortex and us not knowing if he lived through it or not.

I remember reading somewhere that there was tension between Sabrina Lloyd (Wade) and Kari Wuhrer (Maggie). Lloyd basically told the producers, it's her or me, and the producers basically said, bye-bye. That's why they killed off Wade, alas....

NUMB3RS. Now I'm a die hard fan of that show too. Not many shows suck me in though. Sliders was the first, then Roswell, now Legend of the Seeker. After those three, everything else is just Blah. But SLIDERS was definetly my first obession show. (Well second if you count when I was 7 years old and fell in love with Voltron.)

I agree w/many - the original show on Fox was best - the original cast had interesting story lines. Once it was taken over by Sci-Fi, they added Maggie (ugh), changed the focus from the science to chasing the kromags...I started loosing interest when Sabrina and John left the show - but, when they made Quinn and his brother "aliens," I was out. I didn't even bother watching it after the O'Connell brothers left the show. I, too, bought seasons 1 -3 on DVD, and enjoy them.

I read that Arturo died (cries) and Wade wasn't in it anymore (cries some more) but Quinn had a...brother...and they were aliens? That's ridiculous! Ugh. I think I'll just watch to the middle of S3...that's when everyone seems to think it went bad.

I thought Wade was better. I mean sure Maggie was alright but you're right she could never replace the Professor. Arturo and Quinn for me came in a close tie for first place for fav characters, next came Remy, then Wade, then Colin, and finally Maggie. Mallory and Diana didn't happen lol.

Too much time has passed for there to be a sixth season. I'd rather have a reboot of the series. There's still so much untapped potential in the concept to let it go.

I rememeber watching it on tv when i was younger, And i decided to by 1 2 and the third series was enjoying em all ALOT i must add, But soon as Arturo died i lost interest, For me it was like a chunk of the series was missing, And as for the forth i don't even think it's worth watching...

Tell me about it. The original cast was grate; so were the first few seasons. The last two seasons are terrible, don't even bother watching them.

I love this show so much... It makes u wonder what kind of vendetta network TV has for sci-fi, like Early Edition. They should have went longer if it wasn't for network interference.

the ending should be a happy one as quin finally reunites with her mother, and vows never to slide again. that every is reunited. there is no need for more seasons. third time is a lucky charm.

i reckom it should only be 3 seasons. the last episode, they should all return home. the last episode should be an emotional ending to sliders trilogy. all the characters like wade arturo, quin, and remmy, should go back to what they were doing from the begining, before the could slide and leave the original earth behind them. i reckon that would be an impressive ending. they would still keep in touch. however the timer is stored away in mallory's basement for preservation.

i agree, i love the first 3 seasons. they are originals. i love the story lines, and the creations in the first 3 seasons. it is almost like being there with them. imagine if you can go ont their quest. and that u can make a difference.

it would be quite funny with that cast list. find colin in a vortex randomly. Quinn was fused with Mallory if i remember correctly. it been ages since i watched season 5 i think i decided to block most of it from my memory. season 1-4 is out on dvd now.

truth is sliders was a great show it was just allways doomed Cancelled after season 1 Cruely i may add and again after season 2 then once more after season three it was only when they changed the cast that they did get two consecutive seasons and by that time the show was barely worth it at least season 4 had quinn season 5 is actually the worst thig to happen to sci fi ever

Quinn (Jerry Oconnel), Arturo, Remmy and Wade were the cast that made the show worth watching. maybe one day somebody will wake up, relize that and bring this show back on the air. I miss watching new episodes, it was the best show on TV seasons 1-3.
