Does anyone know of K having a similar dialogue with a Zen master? That would have been interesting. K and Alan Watts would have been a real dance too!

krishnamurti fairly gives trungpa many opportunities to answer. he posits many statements as questions and pauses afterwards for feedback. trungpa chooses to remain mostly silent. krishnamurti simply seems interested in keeping a lively conversation going, whereas trungpa chooses to mostly listen.
KM is not offering anything that is worth talking about. He has carefully draped his hair to cover the baldness on his head - he would have been better off to "drape" his words more carefully in order to cover the baldness within his head.

The way I see it, disorder is created mentally. Is the universe disorder or order? Weeds grow with aversion. Don't attach or avert from anything and all will be thusness. We create the concepts of disorder and of the self. Why do we create this ego? It's a form of grasping onto something that has no inherent existence and is constantly flowing like water. Look at a river and the water as it moves through the large rocks. Is that disorder? It's letting go and humility that gives it it's power.

Krishnamurti makes so many assumptions and projects so many beliefs onto practices he obviously doesnt understand that you can tell Trungpa doesnt even know where to start with correcting him. You can sure tell which one of em actually "meditates." Trungpa shows you his wisdom Krishnamutri tells you about his. In the west and in the world in general, words are taken as wisdom and meditation and quiet are seen as wasted time. Either meditate or dont. But why push your belief about it on others???
Krishnamurti is simply inquiring into the meaning of meditation. He's getting to the heart of meditation without promoting any beliefs or assumptions about it. What he's speaking about and his way of speaking about it are so ephermeal that Rinpoche has difficulty understanding what he's getting at. It's just like a Zen teacher speaking about Zen without ever saying exactly what Zen is. Krishnamurti is speaking about meditation by saying what it is not and by inquiring into what it is.
Yes but to what end? Why would he do such a thing in the type of forum hes in? I've yet to see a "master" of any kind act this way in such a forum and or medium. Seems very contradictory to me. Isnt this type of action by Krishnamurti putting the cart before the horse?
It might appear that Krishnamurti was being improper here by downplaying the efficacy and importance of traditional meditation practices, but take into consideration that the form that Krishnamurti's teaching took was one of constant questioning of everything we take for granted as being the proper way to go about our lives. So I think it was only natural for K to question these things in this meeting with Rinpoche and he was very gentle and loving with this issue, so I see no harm done.

K is referring to Hindu meditation, which is what Buddha left in the dust. K has never done Buddhist meditation, which is why everything he says is so funny, He's comparing apples to oranges when he's never tasted oranges. CTR is just being a Rinpoche. He scores everytime he touches the ball.

Trungpa remains calm and relaxed to Krishnamurtis rhetorical questions which are easy questions such as how me and my personal experience are one, division is creation of me and other again, very simple and repetition.....
Trungpa responses "Observe" - if you observe, there is already someone who observes ie. Krishnamurti and his experience ( judgement of disorder)..

krishnamurti is interested in talknig, whereas rinpoche is interested in listening. I really was into K writing and I think they are VERY good, but seeing him really makes me feel uncomfortable, in the way I always feel with vain people. Did K ever say something about vanity? krishnamurti fairly gives trungpa many opportunities to answer. he posits many statements as questions and pauses afterwards for feedback. trungpa chooses to remain mostly silent. krishnamurti simply seems interested in keeping a lively conversation going, whereas trungpa chooses to mostly listen.

@jayrc11123 yes, i believe that Nisargadatta reached what is known as spiritual perfection. and Krishnamurti is full of intellectual pride and personal arrogance, which makes him a confused child compared to Nissargadatta.

I find it amusing how so many youtube warriors will make offhand comments about the teachers in history and try and shoot them down in vain egotistical attempts to put themselves and their paradigms above such people.
Take on board what wisdom these people have to offer - and try not to let your ego overcome you.
Instead of poo-pooing the gentleman celebrate him in how far he came, to know that he passed the torch on to all of you to go further... because you will, he knew that. :-)

The way I see it, disorder is created mentally. Is the universe disorder or order? Weeds grow with aversion. Don't attach or avert from anything and all will be thusness. We create the concepts of disorder and of the self. Why do we create this ego? It's a form of grasping onto something that has no inherent existence and is constantly flowing like water. Look at a river and the water as it moves through the large rocks. Is that disorder? It's letting go and humility that gives it it's power.

Why do you judge as to how much ego a somebody carries about. You are being too egoistic in judging that. See how your ego comes through the back door. I would rather see this as K's passion. There is no "me" "me" "me" or "I' "I" "I" in the conversation that we are so used to. Its just that CTR talks less - its his nature. Doesn't mean that K has a lot of ego.

If we take this video as a football match then rimpoce had a ball possession of 1%, K may know a lot but he dosent know a simple little thing called listening to others. If he is truly wise then he should know that he dosent have all the answers to the problem of universe only if he learns to listen to others he will know.. .

Krishnamurti makes so many assumptions and projects so many beliefs onto practices he obviously doesnt understand that you can tell Trungpa doesnt even know where to start with correcting him. You can sure tell which one of em actually "meditates." Trungpa shows you his wisdom Krishnamutri tells you about his. In the west and in the world in general, words are taken as wisdom and meditation and quiet are seen as wasted time. Either meditate or dont. But why push your belief about it on others???

Krishnamurti is simply inquiring into the meaning of meditation. He's getting to the heart of meditation without promoting any beliefs or assumptions about it. What he's speaking about and his way of speaking about it are so ephermeal that Rinpoche has difficulty understanding what he's getting at. It's just like a Zen teacher speaking about Zen without ever saying exactly what Zen is. Krishnamurti is speaking about meditation by saying what it is not and by inquiring into what it is.

Yes but to what end? Why would he do such a thing in the type of forum hes in? I've yet to see a "master" of any kind act this way in such a forum and or medium. Seems very contradictory to me. Isnt this type of action by Krishnamurti putting the cart before the horse?

It might appear that Krishnamurti was being improper here by downplaying the efficacy and importance of traditional meditation practices, but take into consideration that the form that Krishnamurti's teaching took was one of constant questioning of everything we take for granted as being the proper way to go about our lives. So I think it was only natural for K to question these things in this meeting with Rinpoche and he was very gentle and loving with this issue, so I see no harm done.

I dont think any harm was done either. Just would have liked to hear a more balanced more practical discussion. I mean in analyzing meditation youve already missed the entire value of it so to speak.

K is referring to Hindu meditation, which is what Buddha left in the dust. K has never done Buddhist meditation, which is why everything he says is so funny, He's comparing apples to oranges when he's never tasted oranges. CTR is just being a Rinpoche. He scores everytime he touches the ball.

there is no such meditation, meditation is simply meditation. Whatever it is just remember that buddha was just another master who popped out of India. This surely shows where you stand in the wisdom of meditation

There are skillful means which may appear to the logical mind of k to be one thing when it is quite the other.
much as one turns into the skid to stop it.
by creating an episode of repititious samsara through meditation the cycle m=becomes more clear. so though one can say that meditatioon continues to trapp us one can say that the meditation is a trap much like anyother save that it is more obvious.

buddy the whole star wars saga comes from eastern beliefs, chi is "the force" Jedi are pretty close to samurai, honor, tradition, the sith, the rebellion (yin,yang) it all came from martial arts,they call them masters for a reason. lol and i bet you think the magnificent 7 was an original western lol. sorry but it makes me mad when people take complete credit for something they only improved upon. any way go K!

it is easy to understand all that k speaks but in no way only listening.only if you have trained your being to be attentive then you find that all is very clear and k words simple truth but without that you would have lot of puzzles in your head.
