  • Amazing!!!

  • *pop, ssssshhhhhhhhhhhh*

  • This is UTTERLY fantastic! Cheers! Sure beats the hell out of Snoop Doggy Turd & the other degenerate dopers and boozers today.

  • At 0:25 I do like that fat sound! Great stuff.

  • What model Hammond are you playing?

  • A-100

  • Me again. Just curious, but where'd you get the music? And an amatuer organist (I'm not sure if I spelled that correctly), I want to know where you got the music for that. It's a lovely piece, my absolute favorite.

  • very good!! i learned this on piccolo

  • Love this clip! Would've been awesome if he'd open the champagne bottle in the beginning like LW did;)

  • Thought that was Bob Ralston at first!

  • Nice, real nice! Good effects also. I love Lawrence Welk.

  • wunnerful

  • Some of the registrations sound like Lenny Dee. I once had a band and we did a Lawrence Welk medley with our singer blowing bubbles from a jar--we stopped after one time due to the mess.

  • What are you using for reverb? Sounds like a Schober Reverb-a-Tape. I have a dozen A-100's, and none of them sound like that LOL! Nice style, by the way - much like some of Ken Griffin's arrangements.

  • Thanks, I use a Midifex by Alesis for the reverb effects.

  • @timdidit

Yes indeed...........this is a wonderful sound

I had listen to something alike by Ken Griffin playing OH!

    And I love it...........both

    Congratulations

  • Some-a body stoppa da bubble-a machine-a......what a trip down memory lane!

  • what's the name of the song in the closing credits of the show? That goodnight song?

  • The closing theme was a medley of 'Good Night Ladies,' 'Hope You Had a Happy Time' (to the tune of Mary Had a Little Lamb) and 'Bubbles in the Wine.'

  • The good night sone that was the final closing theme LW used from the 70's on was "Adios, Au Revoir, Auf Weidersein."

  • I love this song!

  • Hey, pretty good. Never saw the show since I'm not that old, but you played that fairly well.

  • very nice!!

  • Very nice rendition... I've been watching Lawrence Welk clips all week... Brings back memories. I really didn't (or couldn't) appreciate how entertaining that show was as a kid!

  • Interesting to note that Mr. Ralston played a Thomas on screen but the audio came from a Hammond. Bob was a paid Thomas celebrity but the Hammond sound was preferred. All Welk shows were videoed first with casual audio. Better sound was then recorded and synched in a separate studio. This made for higher quality.

I sure do like your playing!

  • Love that sense of humor & your style! I never get tired of listening or watching.

Didn't the keys get a little slippery though?

    *chuckles*

  • Thank-a u Steve-a - I saw a little of the Welk show the other day. They mentioned that Bob Ralston was playing a new organ. It was a Hammond but I am not sure what model. It looked a little like a Concorde but had a row of push button presets below the upper and lower key boards. This was a later show so I assume it replaced the Thomas. I never knew they went back to a Hammond.

  • They went back to Hammond, using an Aurora Classic in the band, and an Elegante for solos.

  • Excellent! Jerry Burke and Bob Ralston would be very proud.

  • Wunnerful, wunnerful! Thank you Steverabb on the fantastic Thom... I mean Hammond Console. ;)
