its different for everyone man..you went to golden corral to eat i ate at the marriot hotel's retaurant and there were a lot of different things processing wise that i went through that you went through something different...joining the army, you usually dont ever have the same experience as the guy next to you alot of it is luck of the draw
your army and marines infantry length comment made no sense man... army's infantry is oust for 14 weeks thats including basic and ait for infantry. marine go to 13 week boot camp.... then... they go to SOI for another 56 days... thats 7 weeks longer or training for a marine to become and infantry marine. its 14 weeks total for an army soldier to become infantry. its not just as hard or just as long. not even close. your dads boot camp as a marine must have been a long time ago man
@MrDavidPenwell No offense man, but I dont like marines, they think their so much better. I know they have MCT then SOI, and I knwo their basic is lot harder, and yeah my dad was a marine in the 90's. This generation of Marine is nothing like it used to be bro.

@MrDavidPenwell Yeah, but at MCRD you only do field training and road marches for four weeks. Those four weeks at Pendelton (Or Lejeune) are what all 13 weeks of Ft. Benning are like. Also your crucible only lasts 54hours, our was 8 days.
Also, when we did the long road marches we did them as an infantry platoon, which means they busted out the 60s SAWs and 203s - and I was always put on the freakin 60
My best guess it that it is a wash between the two...
Army Infantry OSUT is 16 weeks. 9 weeks of Basic Training (but with more of an Infantry flavor than the other BCT's) plus another 7 weeks of Infantry school. The only reason the Marines are in training for longer is because their Boot camp is longer...the Infantry training is the same length. And Basic at Sand Hill is rough.
