Great job! Such a simple yet effective use of the whammy bar. The high notes are also simple but have that 'out there' kinda thing goin on. It's one of those songs where you have to hit every note right :) And you did, well done :)

also, the third chord in the slow part is a G major chord where frusciante plays only the high strings,(4th string to 1st string) although he plays it in another position, which is the 5th fret on the 4th string, 4th fret on the 3rd string, and 3rd fret on the second and first string

you're playing everything almost right except for the part where you're playing the Dm7 chord, because frusciante at that time when he played funkier than nowadays, he removed the finger from the fourth string, muting it with his index finger. You'll see it sounds a lot better

If you struggle to bend, get thinner strings. Get a set of 9's and you'll be bending the night away!

Dude, grab yourself a mexican strat single coil. They're 400$ new. They get very clean sounds. And try DR's. Make sure they're 9's. And if you can get a Fender Blues Jr. A tube amp 400$ new. It's expensive and can take a while but trust me you won't regret it. Best Combo ever! But if you don't want to buy that expensive of an amp thats fine. Just make sure you get a tube amp. They get very clean sounds. Hope I helped!
