I'm black and middle class, and to be honest if you are black and middle class, you have relatives in all socio-economic class backgrounds if you come from a large enough family. not really. I've studied him and many other intellectuals who dedicate their life on this subject. When he talks about white privilege, most academics have pretty much said what this guy has said, but unlike this guy. Many of them aren't in the media, and don't have a public appearance. Only a few intellectuals on this topic come out and speak publicly about it. White privilege is a double edge sword. it screws everyone over. Especially if you are white and not rich.

I've lived in several different countries, and as a black man I think African Americans do have it pretty bad in the US. Granted they still have access to opportunities in America that many people in developing countries would die for. But being african american expat, and then coming back. Repatriation is even more difficult for Americans that are ethnic minorities. There are stresses in the US that just don't exist in a lot of countries, at least not in the same form.
Though Americans in general do have a tough time repatriating back into American society. My Indonesian friend said "You have to be tough to live in America" I pretty much said yea. With the exception of China. The US is one of the most competitive societies to live in. And its very competitive in China, and even in India, but not in a way that it is in the US. I'm black and middle class, and to be honest if you are black and middle class, you have relatives in all socio-economic class backgrounds if you come from a large enough family. You know who the poor ones are, and who the rich ones are, and who the middle class/professionals are. not really. I've studied him and many other intellectuals who dedicate their life on this subject. When he talks about white privilege, most academics have pretty much said what this guy has said, but unlike this guy. Many of them aren't in the media, and don't have a public appearance. Only a few intellectuals on this topic come out and speak publicly about it. White privilege is a double edge sword. it screws everyone over. Especially if you are white and not rich.

I've lived in several different countries, and as a black man I think African Americans do have it pretty bad in the US. Granted they still have access to opportunities in America that many people in developing countries would die for. But being african american expat, and then coming back. Repatriation is even more difficult for Americans that are ethnic minorities. There are stresses in the US that just don't exist in a lot of countries, at least not in the same form.
