Chevy and GMC Transfer Case Problem

my h2 hummer 2005 the problem before noise and moving . so i bring to mechanic and open it i found sun gear worn out so. the replace sun gear,planetry, and shift fork. and the problem now at i shift to AWD. if pull turn the steering lift or rigth the vech, not move.

So far JB WELD has held up over 60k on the pin hole formed from this issue

My 2005 Chevy 4 x 4 is getting a new transfer case as we speak due to this problem. Very frustrating that there isn't a recall on this problem.

i am having this problem with my 2003 1500 hd is that bearing for the rear output shaft pressed on?

Good info, I didn't know about this problem with aluminum NPs. Still, the better fix is to upgrade to a full-time cast-iron t-case :-)

i got a 89 chevy k1500 with a 350 auto 4x4 shift on the flour when in 4x4 hi or low only 3 of the 4 tires are spinning both back and passanger side front tires spin not the drivers side front can anyone hlep me out please an thank you

@420wurtz sounds like you're running an LSD (limited slip differential) in the rear with an open diff. up front.

GM DIDNT DESIGN THE TRANSFER CASE , SHITTY ENGINEERS AT NEW PROCESS GEAR DID , HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY TRANSFER CASE AND IT BURNED IT UP

I was out in the snow today and my chain snapped in my t-case. It punched a hole right through the bottom of it lol. I love this show.
