Jaleco's Rival Turf, Brawl Brothers and The Peackeepers are classics. Not as huge as the Final Fight franchise but still good. Is Sega ever going to release their "Golden Axe: The Revenge Of Death Adder" and "Spider-man" arcade games on ANY system; even as DLC? Konami released "X-Men" arcade via DLC for PS3 and Xbox 360.
As someone who owns physical copies of both the US and JP versions,
I don't get why everyone rags on the US version so much.
Sure, RBS is SUPERFICIALLY a lot nicer, but why doesn't anyone ever mention the fact that it's WAY too fucking easy?! 30 continues?! With that many you could be utterly brain-dead, die like 3-4 times on every stage, and still finish it on the first try! :P
At least in the US version they cut it down to 12...it's still a bit much, but it at least requires SOME skill.
If anyone ever gets around to translating Rushing Beat Shura, they should also reduce the continues to at least 12...that way you'd have the best of both worlds.
this game rocked.....so many diff paths....i took the path where u get Norton and u fight the giant karate guy and of course who can forget goin super saiyan with Flynn.
I really wish there had been a home version release of the Final Fight arcade game. Not that watered down, censored stuff. :( That and Ninja Gaiden - still love the NES games, but boy were they a bit disapointing as a kid after playing the arcade version for so long before hand. Same with Bad Dudes.
@PitFiend2001 This really is one of the select few SNES games that totally & unquestionably deserves the moniker and titale of being a real true "tragically and criminally overlooked gem" for the aforementioned console. It is actually the very first "beat em' up" that had multiple endings and multiple paths to choose from. The choice of path in this game is actually the grand-father of modern day "quick time sequences" believe it or not. hehe
That'd be nice to see! Your skills with Flynn aren't half bad at all. This was probably one of the best beat-'em-ups that ever came out on the SNES... unfortunately, it never got all of the advertising, showcasing and respect that it honestly, truly, ultimately, sincerely deserved. <:-(

You know you can turn the music on just by going to the option menu and turn on BGM (Back Ground Music).

Why in the holy mother of fuck the usa version does not have ingame music ????
kravorzlair 2 years ago
@kravorzlair Probably either one or two things:
1. Jaleco USA probably was being assholes or
2. Jaleco USA probably wanted to simulate realism (personal opinion of mine)

@kibjohn i think they tried to make it more realistic.... but that experiment fell flat on its face.

What? No music? BOO! At least the game itselve does look interesting.

This is fucking awful. Theres not even any fucking music. Streets of Rage > all other beat em ups.
bigl240 3 years ago
The original version, Rushing Beat Shura, is much better. At least they have music in there.
axelalmer 3 years ago
Yeah Ive played it. Theres music but the game is exactly the same.
