brilliant facts - thanks 4 sharin, anybody tried Rimmels new product line? it's not easy to get hold of cosmetics in Dade City yet i managed to get awesome cosmetics samples using 'Gratis Makeup Samples'! there handy!
I think that makeup artist is doing a fine job. As for the semantics debate on the title of the video, oh, well, does it really matter? The fact of the matter is that dark skin is dark skin, whether you're African, Indian, South American or Taiwanese. And, from the makeup demo here, dark skin is quite a fabulous canvas on which to work.
its alot of non sense up in here and that is the WORSt makeup job! on a WOMEN OF COLOR IVE EVER seen! and the description is VERY offense coupled with the fact that WOMEN oF COLOR are not just AFRICAN AMERICANS!;why would anyone say PEOPLE OF COLOR can not get chemical peels, thats like saying we cant get plastic surgery.. or piercings becuase we all heal the same 9with keloids beyond untrue.. they only say they can't or you shouldnt because they do not want to.
how about saying dark skin types? Black people are not the only people in the world with dark toned skin ex Cubans. Black people also come in different skin tones.
honestly, the description of this vid threw me off.
one applies makeup to "black women" as one would to another woman. the only difference is finding appropriate colors to match darker skin tones, which is NOT discussed in this video!
Right. However, Black people with darker skin pigments cannot use chemical peels. It's much much more difficult to match foundation colors (if it is even available in our large array of colors, from olive to yellow and the deepest browns). Melanin naturally combats aging. Black skin is different and there is a group of dermatologists that specialize in black skin care for this very reason.
since when is 'black skin' a skin type? From what I remember as an esthetician there's oily, combination, and dry... Maybe calling it African-American skin may not be as offensive.
i see what you are saying but dont you realise that there are other black people in this world that arent african american. not all blacks are african american, like me
