  • Which mosfet power transister did you use for this. The one's I've tried have overheated big time. It is because of their max junction temp I think. The DC motor uses too many watts and thus overheats the mosfets I'm using.

  • @101perspective connect your motor to a separate power supply with a high power transistor pnp connected to it. The signal output from the speed control can then be used as the transistor switch signal and you wont have to worry about the voltage powering the motor overheating anything.

  • Hello (:

Really cool project: makes me want to build something simiar.

Just wanted to ask you a couple of tips: is that resistor array a R-2RLadder?

If so, how do you debounce the signal? Via software?

Sorry for the silly questions, but I'm really a beginner :)

  • how do mofsets work?

whats the difference between that and an NPN or PNP transistor?

  • The differences between NPN and PNP transistors is that NPN transistors is on only if the base is HIGH(there is electricity is present), while an PNP transistors is on only if the base is LOW(no electricity is present).

  • i know the difference between npn and pnp, i was asking the difference between that and a mosfet.

but i have some n and p channel mosfets now, i know how they work now.
