I have never done this before and I want to do it cuz despite my screen name I am really pale lol um one question i have is it true that after you get spray tanned does it come off on your clouthes and bed sheets, even after days after?

@sunkissed361 no, just wear crappy clothes there and dont shower for about 24 hours. if you get it done by 7pm, it wont come off on your sheets that night!

@BRIHTANEE there arent really any shades to choose from. most places have a standard dye and then a SUPER dark dye that most no one uses

another tip for girls would be to not wear a bra after a spray tan only because the dye gathers where the the bra sits on you. So you'll have brown lines where the wire sits. I recommend a loose shirt that won't reveal you're not wearing a bra, or a shirt with built in pads. :)

Spraytan isnt a dye... Its a reaction with the bacteria in the top layer of your skin so thats why some people go orange and some people go brown and why some people go darker or lighter than others altho some tans include a green pigment to act against the orange... Sounds like a geek i worked for a big tanning company haha thought it might help explain!

once your spray tan fades away and you wanna keep that tan look can you go back and get another one? because i have fare skin and dont really tan i only burn.. what should i do?

@LindseyLeeOsborn yes you can get spray tans once a week if you want to keep up your tan! you can really go as much as you want but it will start fading around week 1... see if your local tanning salon has any deals... mine has 10 dollar spray tan mondays!

@KinKiNiKKi4 OMG $10 Mondays? Is it part of a chain? The closest salon to me is SunTan City and their best deal is a coupon to get two sunless tans for $50. It's Winter , so hopefully, they'll give better deals when Spring rolls around...

i love this video! you've made me more comfortable to go finally try the spray tan out! cause im trying to stay out of the tanning bed!! how can you avoid undr the boob marks though?? can you even avoid that??

@itsbl0ndie i dont have big enough boobs to get under the boob marks lol but when your arms are up it should "lift" them... then just make sure you dab really well under your boobs and your butt so you dont get weird brown streaks there!

I'm a salon owner and I can tell you that not all salons are the same when it comes to spray tanning, thats because there are dozens of different solutions a salon owner can use in their system. Some owners don't do their research and some might get cheap and get cheap solution. I try to use solution with DHA levels or 10 and 11, I find that 12 is a bit too much and anything lower than 10 is not enough. I let me customers choose the level they desire.

@classyandfabulous94 for a few days, yeah... shampoo takes most of it out. it shows up a lot on my hair but brunettes dont have that problem!

@TheStiniStar my spray tan only comes in levels 1 and 2... i use level 1 because i believe a level 2 (which has a lot more colored dye in it) might look TOO fake. as far as regular tanning, i use a level 2 bed.

@musketer011509 yes! but i recomend not using any oily lotions... you have to wait about a day before you get wet/ sweat, etc... so after 2 days you can tan again!

I used to get unlimited mystic tans 20$ a month but i still had to pay for the cartridge each time, like 5 dollars. :) But did you have a problem, because your hair is so light, with the spray tan staining your hair? i stopped doing the spray tans though because my bf hated it because I was so smelly&gross for an entire day and my room would reek of spray tan hahaha

@JenLoLace no, since i wore the cap it never stained my hair! thats so weird,my spray tans have always just smelled more like tanned skin to me! probably because i always tan right before. and it never got on my sheets or wiped off anywhere else.... easier than the self tanning lotion i think!

ive done it once and i got so scared of that spray and it was like dark in there it freaked me out i didnt do a good job becaz i was jumping up and down and was screaming becaz i didnt know how loud it was so next time i know that its gonna be loud and dark so i am going to bring ear plugs!! great info thanks
