here is a tip to people for the coins and 1 ups ok for the coins just keep on going to the delfino airstrip and you will soon reach 999 coins and for the 1 ups go to the chucster mission and keep on spraying those things that you can stomp on and then of course stomp on them and they will just keep on re appearing

You can also come back to anywhere with a 1 up after exiting and come back to get it again

5. Go to Bianco Hills, episode 8. Get Yoshi. Eat the bees for get coins. Repeat it again, again, again... Then you get 999 coins.

6. In Pianta Village, episode 6... Do the same as in the fifth way.

7. An easier way in Gelato Beach... Do the same as in the fifth way and the sixth way.

3. In Sirena Beach, episode 5, when battling King Boo, you need to wait, wait, wait, until he throws coins, and repeat the looong waiting :( This may take several hours, but not too much as in Pinna Park.

4. In Gelato Beach, episode 8, when you crush a watermelon with a tree, or with a 'quack' monster, you get a coin! And the watermelon goes back to normal in its same position. Repeat it many times but beware! This can take over 36 hours!

Actually, there are 4 places where you can get 999 coins.

1. In Delfino Plaza, get 10 coins, go to the Airstrip, get all possible coins and finally get a Shine Sprite (8 red coins or 100 normal coins) and repeat the way many times until you get 999 coins :)

2. In Pinna Park, episode 2, when the Monty Mole shoots bullet bills, spray 'em with water and you will get coins. Repeat it many times until you get 999 coins (It may take several hours).

Omg! Do you do this on a emulator?!?! If so can u send me the link to the rom???

@PuqTheBest This one in particular, was not done on an emulator, there is a great GCN and Wii emulator out though called Dolphin. As for ROM's/ISO's of games, I wouldn't download them unless you have a physical copy of the game... If you're willing to take the risk, just some simple googling will solve that.

Wow i have 68 lives lives from doing it 1 time but i got 999 coins and i got Lives from finding hidin lives in the levels

You can also get 999 coins in Pinna Park. Spraying a Bullet Bill in mid-air causes it to explode leving behind 3 coins, and golden Bullet Bills leave 6. They never stop coming so you can keep going forever. Not that you would ever want to for any reason other than: A: Getting the 100-coin Shine Sprite, or B: Just proving to yourself you can. It really gets boring fast.

when you get the coins around 2:56 walk around the beach near there u shud c a little circle show up in the sand, ground pound it and youll find 8 coins nd a mushroom! =D

cool, usally they use cheats or something, but this is much better. But I guess you also can get 999 coins with Pinna Park. If you kill the Bullets in Episode 2, you get coins. And the Bullets keep going.
