  • Hey, today 4/27/11, I found a little red, yellow and green in the doppler radar in Fairfax. XD only a small rain cloud like that will have a tornado?

  • @FeroxTheHedgehog Thanks for watching and commenting. Hope the tornado warnings don't make them come to be.

  • no kidding but that shit happens alot here i live in missouri and we have those where they just pop up out of no where it is very funny sometimes XD

  • From the radar image it looks like it might be a bow echo. It's not a tornado but it can produce damaging winds.

  • Thats a Microburst

  • that was a interesting afternoon, that same storm system spawned a tornado that took out a nice chunk of my town

  • Boy I remember that day. I have video of the aftermath in Arlington on my channel. You can see the bow echo of the storms in the radar images from your video.

  • Man, I thought this was a recent video. I need some sleep I guess! :-)

  • I could tell on google earth that you guys were getting slammed. My sis lives around there, so I like to keep an eye on her weather too.

  • I was at school some of my friends were screaming "it's the apocalypse" or "were gonna go cannibalistic" it was weird

  • I was in south Stafford, I seem to always miss out on the good storms! Great video! NOVA rocks!

  • Its a Micro Burst.

  • Wow i was held at school during this day it scarred me for life

  • Thanks for watching.

  • it wuz scaryful loll

  • yah, I got off the bus and it happened, I had to run home in that :(.

  • I never have an umbrella with me when those surprise storms arise.

  • That's why they are called surprises.

  • Looks like a severe bow echo with hurricane force wind gusts.

  • Thanks for the comments. What is a Bow Echo? You and Mallomon mentioned it.

  • In a basic sense: A "bow echo" is a term used to describe the bow-like appearance of severe storm segment on radar. Characteristics of these bow-shaped storm segments include very high winds and occasionally an isolated tornado.

  • Looked like a bow echo on the radar.

  • Our power went out for almost 7 hours. : O
