In a basic sense: A "bow echo" is a term used to describe the bow-like appearance of severe storm segment on radar. Characteristics of these bow-shaped storm segments include very high winds and occasionally an isolated tornado.
Hey, today 4/27/11, I found a little red, yellow and green in the doppler radar in Fairfax. XD only a small rain cloud like that will have a tornado?

From the radar image it looks like it might be a bow echo. It's not a tornado but it can produce damaging winds.
