Here's how stupid the whole situation is. The Great Wall is the biggest piece of historical evidence that proves Tibet is not part of China. In fact, the wall was built to keep out foreign invaders, i.e. barbarians, which is what many Chinese called us and still call us even today.

In fact, Lamaism is the state religion of Manchu Qing dynasty which the modern concept of China derives from. The barbarians are northern nomatic tribes like Mongols, Jurchens. Tibetans are in the same league as the Shatuo Turks, the Persians and India who were considered civilized foreigners in the mind of the Ancient Chinese.

China did not "invade" Tibet. World scholars do not dispute that Tibet is part of the Ching Dynasty(1644-1911). After Ching Dynasty, Republic of China(ROC 1912- ) rejected the British Simla Convention. Representative Chen YiFan in a written statement said: "Government of ROC refuses to recognize any agreement with His Majestys Government and Tibet might conclude independently either now or in the future."

Chinese have been in North America for well over a 100 years and have never, ever spoken out for the native people. I worked in Vancouver's Chinatown for nearly 10 years and remember how Chinese merchants hated native people and in some cases wouldn't let them into their shops. The racism and bigotry of many Han immigrants makes me ashamed that Canada would allow them in in the first place.
