  • don't they get out?

i'm getting a leapord gecko in a month and im worried about them getting out?

anyone got any tips to ensure they dont get out and one other thing, could they be kept outside in the garage? then if they do get out it doesnt matter? :/

  • ok so i got started breeding crickets right i have seen them laying eggs and the eggs in the tray of dirt, i have been keeping the eggs as warm as i can but i still have had no sign of pinheads? am i doing something wrong? any tips? plz reply thanks

  • HOLY COW! THAT IS A LOT OF CRICKETS!!!

  • there are not 1000 in the first container

  • @Aure88330

ya. i know. it was because i fed lots of them to all my reptiles. it was more like 700-800 when they started to get to feeding size.

  • @ethan42westall ohh ok man. well nice job with the crickets.

  • @Aure88330

thanks. i have 2 other containers going right now. a 10 gallon tank and a 18 gallon tote.

  • @ethan42westall yeah. i am actually gonna get a baby bearded dragon and 500 pinhead crickets. its gonna be awesome. and i already have a 18 gallon tote as well.

  • @Aure88330

awesome. but pinheads might be a little to small to fill up a baby beardy. unless you plan on growing them up witch would be the best thing to do.

  • @ethan42westall ohh good idea. thanks

  • @Aure88330 i have a berdy lol hes a little jerk but i love him lol but ya they like to eat as much as they can but tgey get angry if they dont

  • how do know wich are good and wich arent?

  • witch what? eggs? they only lay good eggs. you can barely see them and there are thousands of them.

  • Wow, nice success I would say. I haven't started breeding mine yet since they're all still little. Might get adult crickets next time. Luckily each of my tarantulas only eat about 2-3 crickets a week, if even that.

  • nice, so how many tubs do i need to buy when i start breeding crickets? how do u seperate the adulty from babies?

  • if it's small scale 2 10 gallon tanks. if it's a little larger scale than you need 2 18 gallon plastic tubs. you put the adults in the 1st container then after a week or so take them out and the eggs are in the dirt. then if you want 2 tubs with crickets then put the adults in the 2ed tub. then feed off the adults off after a week. you will have to bye crickets till the babies are big enough to feed but it's well worth it.

  • how do u get them out

  • i hold a tall deli cup in the container and shake them into the cup and pick out the ones that i need.

  • Cool, looks like you did better than others have

  • nice!!
