Biboca is a bad place to live, or bad located place. Garagem = Garage. Favela is a small or large group of poor houses. Favelas are usually commanded by a wealthy drug dealer, that do whatever he wants there.

Have met a lot of Brazilians and often been asked about my knowledge of their culture or whatever Brazilian...We worked out that we've got many words in common (I'm from Poland by the way)- weird but true but when I say Sepultura they look like stricken by a thunder and they say "really?" and make weird face. I haven't met Brazilians that like and are proud of Sepultura yet but in Poland they've got an army of devoted fans!!!
