People are dumb. That's a 2004. Can't you see the 40th anniversary badge on the fender? Lol at people saying its a V6. There is no way a 6 cylinder can sound like that. And The GT did pretty good for a stock stang. They only have 260hp
Haha....some idiot in another video on how he thinks his cobalt is a supercar blocked me because I gave him proof how his car is a piece of shit. Way to go buddy, you're cool.
hey check out (Custom Cobalt Club) on facebook and like the page and if you would like some pictures of your cobalt uploaded onto the page leave a comment thanks!
Really it's all about power to weight ratio. 99-04 GT mustangs only dyno about 217-230whp bone stock and weigh around 3300-3400lb's... The cobalt can't weigh much more than maybe 2800lb's if I'm not mistaken and is putting down IMO probably around the same HP to the wheels...launch could have been better IMO but he definitely tried to do some sort of powershift to 2nd... failed and shifted a tad early into third as well.
so would this cobalt be considered stage 2? i have a similar vid of my bois ss/sc full bolt ons + tune and he does the same thing to my automatic stock mustang. i want to see stock vs stock :/
thats a nice cobalt, theres a bunch of kids where im at that drive them. done really good against that gt. considering it was mostly stock. but if you really wanna street test your cobalt properly, find a modded mustang (other than exhaust only) and see how you do. anyway keep ya head up, your doin fine.
@TheTank1320 Thanks man. I don't have it anymore, but it did run a 13.4 at 106, picking up 26mph on the big end. I traded it for a TBSS. Check out the vid where I put this Balt up against my cousins modded 96 Cobra.
@v8allthaway Stand a chance? What do you mean? It beat the GT. You realize this Cobalt is supercharged don't you? What good would it do putting a random V6 engine in there in place of a blown 2 liter?
@Mach1Spd I dont know if you realize this but i am not talking about just some random v6 engine, I am talking about trowing one a dem 1996 corsica v6 motors all up in that hood. My buddy had a wicked red one until he rolled when he caught wind going 140 kmph. He once got it up to 177kmph in well under a minute. You do the math...
@Mach1Spd Imagine that engine inside a coablt. With a big wing like that to keep it on the road it should be able rip up dem streets. but either way a v8 would be much superior. buddy... 8 cylindras
@jerry3788 No, the Cobalt is under rated at 205 hp from the factory. Most Cobalts make 210-220 at the wheels. Not only that, mine is modified with a smaller blower pulley, bigger fuel injectors, an intake, a shorty header, and a custom tune. It made 250 hp at the wheels, meaning its making close to or over 300 hp at the flywheel. I'm not sure where you got that 303 hp rating from for the Mustang, but the new edge 2 valve GTs are rated at 260 hp, not 303.
@jerry3788 Sure what? I know you're young, so you don't have any experience with modding cars, but this is a good chance for you to learn something. Go watch my other vids. I have vids of my Cobalt on the dyno making the numbers I claim, as well as track vids, etc. Also go to cardomain and search esthercamaro for verification of my other cars, dyno sheets, track slips, mods, etc.
@Mach1Spd the old mustang (2002-early 04) mustangs were a 2v 4.6 (under 300 horse), but the 04-10 were a 3v tuned 4.6 (same block as f150 modular 4.6) and were rated at 320 at the crank. i dunno where 303 came from. either way nice race. lookin forward to stage 2 on the ss s/c im buying tomorrow. awesome car. 05 with 40,000 miles.
@jmanwild 1999-2004 Mustang GTs are rated at 260 HP. 2005-2009 S197 GTs are rated at 300 hp, then 2010 bumped it up to 315 mainly due to reprogramming. You'll love that Balt once you get some mods done. I would skip the GM Stg 2 and do your own. Visit ZZPperformance and check out their kits. Their stg 2 is what is on the car in the vid. 2.8 pulley, 60lb injectors, and a good custom tune.
@Mach1Spd i dont wannt dump fuel at it, im buying this cause i sold my 01 cummins, cause i wanted better fuel economy. (stupid, that truck got 24mpg highway, on 35" TIRES)
i might go for a tune.
whats the downside of running 87 octane and octane boost over premium?
(at 6$ a gallon here its an aweful high price for fuel)
@jmanwild Octane booster is more less mostly kerosene and ends up costing you more per tank than filling it up with premium and gives you way less performance. Even with my mods l still got 30 mpg around town taking it easy and staying out of boost most of the time, so its still going to be relatively cheap to keep fuel in.
@Mach1Spd well, 2 bottles for 10 bucks at 2 tanks per bottle is 2.50 per tank. on 40 liters the difference between premium and regular is about 7 bucks
if premium is necessary, i will, but i was hoping not to.
@v8allthaway Yea it got lucky that it spun its ass of and still ran down the GT and put lengths on it. This Cobalt runs 13.4 at 106, the GT in this vid has done a best of 14.2 at 97 mph. You do the math.
@MAdoubleTizzle19 Thanks man! She's heard me bitch enough about wind noise while sitting here watching vids, that she knows to keep it in the car, lol.
@FordGTmustang2000 He didn't miss. He hung in there ok down low, but the Cobalt in the vid pulls much harder up top than the GT does, a lot harder. I pick up 26mph between the 1/8th and the 1/4. The GT would need a healthy shot of nitrous to pull that off considering he only gains 16 mph on the big end. Put it this way, this Cobalt runs 13.4 at 106 mph, and the GT here runs 14.2 at 97 mph. Check out my other vid against my cousins 98 Cobra, he traps 103 and I pulled him up top the same way.
@cheaniggachea No need to be upset. The Cobalt basically had full bolt-ons, 2.8 pulley, and a good tune. The Cobalt ran a 13.4 at 106 before I got rid of it. The best the GT has ran is a 14.2 at 97 mph. You're absolutely right though, a new 5.0 would destroy this particular Cobalt.
@willneverstop yeah you think youre smart? sad how it takes a 1.0 litre engine in a motorcycle to beat a 2.0 ecotec engine in a car. fucken idiot. but wait, how about the new volkswagen golf R, with its 2.0 tfsi engine, it will blow those recycled aluminum soda can doors off your plastic piece of shit GM. please reply i cant wait to laugh at your life some more
@cheaniggachea K?... aside form the fact that you are a total queer.... theres a lot of holes in your arguments. A bike? you use a bike to argue your point? you can't bring bikes into this haha. I'm sure a 375,000 dollar 4.8 litre lexus lf-a will beat a 5 litre mustang. you can't compare a bloody 2011 golf R to a cobalt ss they don't even make anymore, they don't compete right now as I type this... I could get into an ss/sc for like 9 grand haha....
@willneverstop Clearly i was being sarcastic and trying to act like a jack ass by comparing it to the bike. I was being you. No shit you cant do that. much like you cant do what you did. Bitch about a smaller displacement forced induction engine in lighter car winning over the heavier naturally aspirated mustang....
youre dumb as shit.... also anything GM makes is a plastic piece of shit that cant even be called a "car". the chinese car brands produce higher quality vehicles
@cheaniggachea Chinese car brands? Didn't know the Chinese made cars, only car parts. My GM plastic piece of shit Cobalt does alright running a 13.4 at 106, and my TrailBlazer SS maybe 4500 pounds of plastic shit, but it gets out of its own way running mid 13s with just a tune... and in my opinion looks pretty sexy doing so.
@Mach1Spd google chinese auto maker and you'll see, im not impressed by your cobalt or your trail blazer, if you want to talk about suv's, hell if you want to talk anything in the automotive world we will talk about porsche, audi, mercedes and bmw etc.. european brands... the only good american car brand is ford, a huge part of their division is based in europe, so no surprise there
@cheaniggachea Ahh, I get it now, you're a foreign nuthugger. Its cool man, I like foreign cars too. Unlike yourself, I'm an enthusiast and respect all kinds of performance. If you like Fords, you might want to scroll through my other vids. I had a Mach 1 and an S197 up until last year. Loved them too, but seriously man, get down off your high horse and see what else is out there. My TBSS is running 13.7 with just a tune, and hauls my family around safely. That's decent for a 4500 pounder, imo.
@cheaniggachea Ahh, I get it now, you're a foreign nuthugger. Its cool man, I like foreign cars too. Unlike yourself, I'm an enthusiast and respect all kinds of performance. @Mach1Spd I used to drive a bunch of audis and mercedes, they were great cars. I got the new ford mustang gt 5.0 because its really good bank for buck. much like your trailbazer, except your car is much more versatile. im a young guy i dont have/want a family right now, so this works out for me. most horsepower for least money. You should try driving a nice European car just to feel the difference in quality and how it drives and youll see what im getting at.
@cheaniggachea I have driven them, and they are much better for the most part. I just can't afford the ones I really want. My wife has a 2007 Infiniti G35-S sedan, and it is light years ahead of my TBSS in handling, braking, overall build quality, and luxury/tech. Even with my tune, she and I are neck and neck with her pulling me up top. I've got a vid on my page of her walking the Cobalt from a dig. The Balt got her from a roll pretty good though.
@cheaniggachea if there such pieces of shit explain this...
WHY IT WON ROADANDTRACK'S "TIME FOR TURBOS" COMPARISON TEST
in this comparison test the cobalt beat out the mazdaspeed 3, lancer ralliart, and impreza wrx.... magazines such as these wont just give a car the win based soly on performance alone they take everythinh into consideration... quality including, all because a car doesnt have a flashy interior does ont mean it a piece of crap...
@willneverstop hahaha another idiot that reads road and track and thinks it actually means something. why dont you pick up the latest issue and then go buy yourself a car based on what they say. hahah fucken useless retard, you know ZERO about cars, name one engine component and explain to me how it works
@cheaniggachea what makes you so much more credible than any published car magazine... how about you start giving some actual RATIONAL for what you think and not just "useless retard" or "Plastic piece of shit"....
@willneverstop you couldnt even answer my question. "name one component and describe how it works" therefore you are useless and there is no point in me arguing with you
@cheaniggachea I'm not gonna answer your fucking question stop being such a douchebag man??... the whole time I've been trying to be genuine and respectful with you but w/e.... this obviously isnt worth my time
@GMdrivingMOPARguy It is geared funny. 1st gear last like 2 seconds if I floor it, not to mention it blows the tires off, then 2nd goes on for days (and pulls like a freight train once you're into 2nd good). I wish GM had of made 1st a little taller, it would help with traction issues immensely.
Im actually looking at a 06 ss supercharged and im just wondering how fast have you gone in it and is the shifting on it easy or does it take some getting used to?
@CrAbC8k3 It shifts very smoothly, but the clutch sucks. I have to completely lift between 1st and 2nd or it slips. As far as how fast I have gone, I'm not sure if you mean top speed or 1/4 mile... but it will run +150 mph, and mine in particular with the mods listed has gone 13.4 at 106 mph.
@MullitudeDude Associating gender with cars is pointless I've seen more females driving mustangs. Hell my mom's 50 year old drives an 08 mustang gt 5spd. You must have a bad case of sds to be saying that shit.
@oldawgnewtrikz He could def stand to gear down to some 4.10s and do a few more bolt ons. He could get his ET down to what I run (13.4 before cat-back and poly mounts), but he's going to need to a good bit of work to trap what I do.
@hdeyncrky Yea, right around 2-3k, and feather the clutch heavily. I also don't go over half throttle until I get 3/4 of the way through 1st gear. I made another trip to the track this weekend and pulled a 13.4 at 106 out of her. Made my day for sure. I posted an IN-CAR vid from the track this weekend if you want to check it out. It was a 13.5 second run on a 2.1 60'.
@mrdragking13 He said he was shifting at 6k, but I wasn't in the car with him, so I have to take his word for it. We did end up going to the track. His best run was a 14.2 at 97 mph in the 1/4. My best was a 13.6 at 104 mph. Mine was done a 2.1 60', his on a 2.2, so there is some room for improvement on his part, but not enough to close that big of a gap.
@PoLaRBeArxX18 Stock M62 supercharger, 2.8 pulley, 60lb injectors, 3" catted downpipe, glasspack resonator, weld in magnaflow muffler, shorty header, custom tuning. It ran a 13.6 at 104 this past weekend on a 2.1 60". The clutch is steadily getting worse, so I'm having to be careful and shift easy under WOT.
People are dumb. That's a 2004. Can't you see the 40th anniversary badge on the fender? Lol at people saying its a V6. There is no way a 6 cylinder can sound like that. And The GT did pretty good for a stock stang. They only have 260hp

WHY IT WON ROADANDTRACK'S "TIME FOR TURBOS" COMPARISON TEST
in this comparison test the cobalt beat out the mazdaspeed 3, lancer ralliart, and impreza wrx.... magazines such as these wont just give a car the win based soly on performance alone they take everythinh into consideration... quality including, all because a car doesnt have a flashy interior does ont mean it a piece of crap...
willneverstop 10 months ago
@willneverstop hahaha another idiot that reads road and track and thinks it actually means something. why dont you pick up the latest issue and then go buy yourself a car based on what they say. hahah fucken useless retard, you know ZERO about cars, name one engine component and explain to me how it works
cheaniggachea 10 months ago
@cheaniggachea what makes you so much more credible than any published car magazine... how about you start giving some actual RATIONAL for what you think and not just "useless retard" or "Plastic piece of shit"....
willneverstop 10 months ago
@willneverstop you couldnt even answer my question. "name one component and describe how it works" therefore you are useless and there is no point in me arguing with you
cheaniggachea 10 months ago
@cheaniggachea I'm not gonna answer your fucking question stop being such a douchebag man??... the whole time I've been trying to be genuine and respectful with you but w/e.... this obviously isnt worth my time

Sounds like the cobalt is geared really wierd. 1st is too short and 2nt is too long
GMdrivingMOPARguy 10 months ago
@GMdrivingMOPARguy It is geared funny. 1st gear last like 2 seconds if I floor it, not to mention it blows the tires off, then 2nd goes on for days (and pulls like a freight train once you're into 2nd good). I wish GM had of made 1st a little taller, it would help with traction issues immensely.

neither one of you went "On Three" lol
TheYoungbl0od 11 months ago
@TheYoungbl0od Lmao, I was waiting for someone to catch that.
Mach1Spd 11 months ago
@Mach1Spd it's no big deal, it's essentially the same exact car. Only difference is the badge.

Im actually looking at a 06 ss supercharged and im just wondering how fast have you gone in it and is the shifting on it easy or does it take some getting used to?
CrAbC8k3 1 year ago
@CrAbC8k3 It shifts very smoothly, but the clutch sucks. I have to completely lift between 1st and 2nd or it slips. As far as how fast I have gone, I'm not sure if you mean top speed or 1/4 mile... but it will run +150 mph, and mine in particular with the mods listed has gone 13.4 at 106 mph.
Mach1Spd 10 months ago
Thats an 04 dumbass
daltino5 1 year ago
@daltino5 And it makes any difference how? Yea, didn't think so dick.

Those party girl cars with the super charger are pretty quick
MullitudeDude 1 year ago
@MullitudeDude Associating gender with cars is pointless I've seen more females driving mustangs. Hell my mom's 50 year old drives an 08 mustang gt 5spd. You must have a bad case of sds to be saying that shit.
Chevyguy2003 10 months ago
Agreed.. Driver mod would help too :)

@oldawgnewtrikz No doubt. He could've left much more aggressively as well.

@Mach1Spd is this a 2.0 or 2.4?
crazykook417 11 months ago
@crazykook417 2.0 supercharged
Mach1Spd 11 months ago
GT needs a little work eh??
oldawgnewtrikz 1 year ago
@oldawgnewtrikz He could def stand to gear down to some 4.10s and do a few more bolt ons. He could get his ET down to what I run (13.4 before cat-back and poly mounts), but he's going to need to a good bit of work to trap what I do.
Mach1Spd 1 year ago
That's an 04 Mustang GT. It has the 40th badge on it.
Noahsebb88 1 year ago
@Noahsebb88 You are correct. I need to go back and edit it.
Mach1Spd 1 year ago
When you run at the track you launch around 2K? 13.6 is pretty good.,
hdeyncrky 1 year ago
@hdeyncrky Yea, right around 2-3k, and feather the clutch heavily. I also don't go over half throttle until I get 3/4 of the way through 1st gear. I made another trip to the track this weekend and pulled a 13.4 at 106 out of her. Made my day for sure. I posted an IN-CAR vid from the track this weekend if you want to check it out. It was a 13.5 second run on a 2.1 60'.
Mach1Spd 1 year ago
that mustang was shifting way to low in the rpm's. you can clearly hear it. ohh well and it would have been a clean run
mrdragking13 1 year ago
@mrdragking13 He said he was shifting at 6k, but I wasn't in the car with him, so I have to take his word for it. We did end up going to the track. His best run was a 14.2 at 97 mph in the 1/4. My best was a 13.6 at 104 mph. Mine was done a 2.1 60', his on a 2.2, so there is some room for improvement on his part, but not enough to close that big of a gap.
Mach1Spd 1 year ago
@Mach1Spd, I guess man, if this race is as legit as you say it is than congrats on the win.....
mrdragking13 1 year ago
true that..... that what i hate about my cobalt.. and the 1st gear dissapers right away
TotalAwsomeness22 1 year ago
@TotalAwsomeness22 How's your clutch holding up under hard shifts? I agree 1st is way too low for these cars.
Mach1Spd 1 year ago
What all you got on your cobalt bro? Im tryin to fix up my Pontiac G5! lol
PoLaRBeArxX18 1 year ago
@PoLaRBeArxX18 Stock M62 supercharger, 2.8 pulley, 60lb injectors, 3" catted downpipe, glasspack resonator, weld in magnaflow muffler, shorty header, custom tuning. It ran a 13.6 at 104 this past weekend on a 2.1 60". The clutch is steadily getting worse, so I'm having to be careful and shift easy under WOT.
Mach1Spd 1 year ago
There will be a track vid up this weekend.... we're both headed to the same track and prep is usually good, so it should be interesting ;)

fuck what that dude is sayin br0.
