No matter how many times I hear this it always gives me chills. I never liked this season(in fact I didn't find Tamers that great either) but it has by far the best theme. I wish with all my might that they had made a longer version.

None the less, there are gaps and holes in the story that still need to be filled in for which could cause Digimon a success not just for TV but for the big screen too. Hell, they could go live from then on. My hopes have been spoken. bye!

Well their digisouls are what allow their digimon to digivolve in the first place so it wouldn't be impossible for it to physically hurt other digimon if it is strong enough. They never explained it in the anime so its just one of those things that we have to accept and enjoy the series although I admit I never liked that he could do that.
What I hope for the franchise in the future is more focus on the digimon instead of being about the humans. What I also hope for the future of digimon is to see the digimon evolve like a disease that recreates them to be more human like. I would like to see Marcus Daimon again in the future of the franchise because of his character and background, I have an idea what I could do in the future because of his abilities and capabilities (like holding his own against a big digimon.)

But season 3 is bad, near the end they just start giving digivices, the characters are either young or annoying. true there are a few characters, my favourite being rapidmon. Impmon is awesome. Every Digimon season has young characters with the average age being about 11. Only season with older characters is the season you couldn't last 10 minutes of, season 5(avg age 14).

As a 90s kid, back in the late 90s i hated Digimon. I was a pokemon fan, and the origginal Digimon seemed more like a Pokemon rip off. However, this show was actually good, because it was more like Power Rangers, or Final Fantasy...
Oh gosh I watched this as a kid. And I have to say that I did prefer Pokemon and always will but that doesn't change Digimon from being an awesome cartoon, its top 3 with Pokemon and DBZ for sure. And I remember years ago I heard this song and fell in love with it. It gives me goosebumps to this day. I might be going to far here but I think this is the best theme song ever for a anime. =]

this was the last good season they had. the first one was awesome, the second one was pretty good, third was......different? yet pretty good, this one was cool how they turned into digimon. i then tried to see the first episode of season 5 but as soon as I saw the main guy beat up agumon with a punch, it just pissed me off
I like seasons 1, 3, and 4. season 2 i wanted to kill cody, they made most of the season 1 digimon look weak, and ken's an asshole. season 5 i liked the fact that they were older but why did they re-use agumon and change his digivolutions. season 3 and 4 added a new factor to the show by making the humans fight "4" and cards "3" (it was different not good or bad, just very very different.
Season 5 (Savers): ...Seriously? This was just horrible. The main character was not likeable at all, and the absence of the goggles left a void for me. As did the fact that everyone was TEENAGERS. This pretty much shot the series to hell.
Season 4 (Frontier): Fuck. What little good/respect the Digimon franchise still had after the previous season was probably butchered by this. The entire evolution thing was horrible, it's only saving grace was probably the opening.
Season 3 (Tamers): Bluh. It wasn't BAD, but it wasn't good either. The digimon in it were horrible, except Gallantmon/Dukemon and the whole card thing, while adding another spin on things, was quite irritating. For example, that episode where that guy gave Terriermon Wargreymon's shield. The hell? Ending, voices and music was shit too.
Season two (Adventure 02): Not quite as good as Adventure, but it was still pretty good. I wasn't too keen on the original chosen children being replaced, but the fact they were still there as mentor type figures and the fact Takeru and Hikari (T.K and Kari) were still there was alright, I guess. The armour evolution was pretty unique, but yeah. The music was still good, and the characters weren't quite as likeable. The ending was a lot better, though.
Season one (Adventure): Easily the best. It probably had the best music too (if you watched the original Japanese version) and the plot line was easily the best of all of them. It had it's fun moments, and it's darker, sad moments. Furthermore, the characters were actually LIKEABLE, even in the dubs.
I've asked around about an extended version and none of the folks I know who delt with Digimon knew. I even checked with Chris McFeely of the Digimon Encyclopedia and he hadn't heard of one at the time. Wish there was an english version of this soundtract.
Dont get me wrong guys, Digimon is the Show i Grew up with. Digimon is Probably the best show for people under 13 EVER. all these new shows on around 3 and earlier Are Terrible by comparison. Beware,the next series of digimon will be out by the end of next year. Its going to be terrible. Even looking at the opening for it i can tell.. i mean,Mega level power ranger megazword/sword/zord(?) digimon? Seriously?
When it comes to the animes, I definitely agree. Now admitted I still enjoy the early seasons of Pokemon, but the stories in Digimon were more interesting, the character development was better, and some seasons (like Tamers) even went as far as to bring in interesting philosophical questions (I remember one episode where one man even questioned whether or not if "playing god" was a good idea).
When it comes to the games, though, I do think Pokemon's still better in that regard.
@BrokenShuriken I would say those series have their differences. I used to hate on Digimon but after watching carefully the first, the second and the fourth season, I realised that the storyline was amazing even better than Pokemon but still...I will always love Pokemon more because it really highlighted my childhood.

I'm not saying 3 i the worst show ever, i found it almost unbearable at some moments, but in terms of worst season i would say 5. I stand by my point, it wasn't a adventure like the seasons, the majority of the time they are in the same location. Which sucks

As a 90s kid, back in the late 90s i hated Digimon. I was a pokemon fan, and the origginal Digimon seemed more like a Pokemon rip off. However, this show was actually good, because it was more like Power Rangers, or Final Fantasy...

Oh gosh I watched this as a kid. And I have to say that I did prefer Pokemon and always will but that doesn't change Digimon from being an awesome cartoon, its top 3 with Pokemon and DBZ for sure. And I remember years ago I heard this song and fell in love with it. It gives me goosebumps to this day. I might be going to far here but I think this is the best theme song ever for a anime. =]

this was the last good season they had. the first one was awesome, the second one was pretty good, third was......different? yet pretty good, this one was cool how they turned into digimon. i then tried to see the first episode of season 5 but as soon as I saw the main guy beat up agumon with a punch, it just pissed me off

I like seasons 1, 3, and 4. season 2 i wanted to kill cody, they made most of the season 1 digimon look weak, and ken's an asshole. season 5 i liked the fact that they were older but why did they re-use agumon and change his digivolutions. season 3 and 4 added a new factor to the show by making the humans fight "4" and cards "3" (it was different not good or bad, just very very different.

Season 5 (Savers): ...Seriously? This was just horrible. The main character was not likeable at all, and the absence of the goggles left a void for me. As did the fact that everyone was TEENAGERS. This pretty much shot the series to hell.
In conclusion. Fuck every season after 1 & 2.

Season 4 (Frontier): Fuck. What little good/respect the Digimon franchise still had after the previous season was probably butchered by this. The entire evolution thing was horrible, it's only saving grace was probably the opening.

Season 3 (Tamers): Bluh. It wasn't BAD, but it wasn't good either. The digimon in it were horrible, except Gallantmon/Dukemon and the whole card thing, while adding another spin on things, was quite irritating. For example, that episode where that guy gave Terriermon Wargreymon's shield. The hell? Ending, voices and music was shit too.

Season two (Adventure 02): Not quite as good as Adventure, but it was still pretty good. I wasn't too keen on the original chosen children being replaced, but the fact they were still there as mentor type figures and the fact Takeru and Hikari (T.K and Kari) were still there was alright, I guess. The armour evolution was pretty unique, but yeah. The music was still good, and the characters weren't quite as likeable. The ending was a lot better, though.

Here's my thoughts on things.
Season one (Adventure): Easily the best. It probably had the best music too (if you watched the original Japanese version) and the plot line was easily the best of all of them. It had it's fun moments, and it's darker, sad moments. Furthermore, the characters were actually LIKEABLE, even in the dubs.

I've asked around about an extended version and none of the folks I know who delt with Digimon knew. I even checked with Chris McFeely of the Digimon Encyclopedia and he hadn't heard of one at the time. Wish there was an english version of this soundtract.

Dont get me wrong guys, Digimon is the Show i Grew up with. Digimon is Probably the best show for people under 13 EVER. all these new shows on around 3 and earlier Are Terrible by comparison. Beware,the next series of digimon will be out by the end of next year. Its going to be terrible. Even looking at the opening for it i can tell.. i mean,Mega level power ranger megazword/sword/zord(?) digimon? Seriously?

When it comes to the animes, I definitely agree. Now admitted I still enjoy the early seasons of Pokemon, but the stories in Digimon were more interesting, the character development was better, and some seasons (like Tamers) even went as far as to bring in interesting philosophical questions (I remember one episode where one man even questioned whether or not if "playing god" was a good idea).
When it comes to the games, though, I do think Pokemon's still better in that regard.

I used to hate on Digimon but after watching carefully the first, the second and the fourth season, I realised that the storyline was amazing even better than Pokemon but still...I will always love Pokemon more because it really highlighted my childhood.
