The last person will always die, because in versus and campaign, if you jump off a ledge that you would normally hang on to, if all the other survivors are dead or hanging or incapped, you do not hang on and automatically die because there is no one left that can save you. The director lets you die and get the restart going because no one wants to sit there for a minute and watch their helpless character hang on before falling,

This have been done in other videos. This does not just happen on that ledge, you can try it basically on every ledge. And Rochelle didn't grab on wasn't because of...Well, whatever you explains it. It is a game setting, after 3 person being hang on edge, the forth one will not hang, like a failsafe feature, to make sure game won't be over because of all 4 hanging. But in this case...
